I couldn't imagine having a car like this and NOT DDing it. Are you kidding me? My father had a 70s Datsun 510 that he lowered it, stiffened it, did the camshaft (Isky camshaft I believe), tuned it, and did the whole exhaust system and that thing was a RIOT of a DD. Refinement wasn't even a thing then. Imagine something as fun as that along with the refinement of a modern car and all of the luxuries that draw people to whatever normal people drive now. Plus DDing it also means driving a Type R. Every day.

Maybe the idea that my Civic probably doesn't put out even 100 horsepower anymore makes me lust for 300+...

I will find reasons to drive the CTR everyday that I can. I bought my '14 Accord in October of 13' and it barely has 30,000 miles. I either work from home (car sits in garage) or am travelling (car sits in airport garage). My wife is going to have to bribe me not to sleep in it.

"What's that honey, you need some more eggs? I'LL GO TO THE STORE FOR YOU!!" To the grocery store 3 counties over. Woosh!

I'm in the same boat, I don't have a daily commute, and my car sits while I'm away at work, so the miles stay low.

I'm not in a financial position where I can have a completely impractical toy, like a Miata. I can afford a fun car, but it's got to earn its keep some how. A CTR or Si sedan fills that bill nicely without busting the bank.

So yes, I'll drive it every chance I get and drive my insurance guy nuts.:confused1::p

Well it garanteed to make at least that so this mean you're a Typr R fan? Maybe it was a generational thing but growing up watching rally has given me an affinity for over the top aero. So to each their own.

Is it really at least 300hp stock? I honestly thought it was like 240 or or something

The current 9th gen Type R makes 306 stock, and there are rumors of Honda bumping it up to 335 or in that neighborhood for the genX. The genX Si is slated for 240, Type R will be above 300.

I guess I was thinking about the Si

If I did buy this CTR, I would still remove that wing.

I'd remove that wing also FWIW. It IS a FWD car, so... Yeah... "Functional" spoiler...? Nah.
I love everything else about it though, but that spoiler looks about as good as this thing used to:

If you aren't tracking the car there is no need... I plan on bringing it out to a couple OTD for fun. I'm sure I'll regret every second not having my actual track car there but I hope it proves me wrong :)
