Looks like the new accord has a pretty weak intake manifold

I am wondering if this is the only difference compared to the 2.0T CTR engine

the intake pipe is definitely different. Can't see the intake manifold from the pictures you posted so not sure if it's different. Turbo seems to be different.

i'm sure turbo is smaller, its designed more for low to mid range. Probably for day to day driving it'll feel stronger with even less lag.

The engine actually is really nice, but definitely oriented for a friendlier gas consumption. Grandmother's car like in comparison to the CTR.:D

Honda has a history of doing this to tone down engines. The EP3 Civic Si (and RSX Type-S) came with a cast intake manifold, while the base RSX came with a plastic one. This was on more or less the same motor with different internals and a different head.

I bet they don't call it a K20C1, but a K20C4 maybe?

I also believe the K20C4 in the Accord has a smaller intercooler and a secondary balancer.

Have they come out and called it a K20C4? That was just my guess! Haha

It'll be one hell of a race, CTR vs. Accord 2.0T

6 spd. Manual vs. 10 spd. Auto
hopefully aftermarket support will give us a new turbo and intake, exhaust and a flash ecu , could make the accord a bargin for performance.
