Would someone mind lending me their tire expertise. I've been looking at these Enkei Raijin 19s but I want to be sure they will fit the Type R. They are 19x8 +42. Do you think they would clear the calipers? I've been reading through and it looks like most people were going with at least an 8.5. Link to the rims:

I've asked Enkei for wheel clearance for the brakes and they have not gotten a Type R to make a brake diagram. So I'm not 100%, but with Tire Rack if you order they will accept the return if they don't fit lol so you have that assurance

I just ordered the Enkei VR5 in 18 x 8 +42 from Tire Rack. I wasn't planning on test fitting them until I actually need to use them (its currently 90 in Chicago so I don't know when that will be..)

Maybe I should rethink that!

This is how close the gap is between my wheel weight and caliper. I guess if you located them more closer to the spokes it wouldn't be too much of a clearance issue..

Just got word form SSR that they'll be making a special color GTX01 for the Type R. I know you guys all like the black/white with red but this is honestly one of the nicest finishes on a wheel that I've seen in a loooooong time.

It'll be aggressive but 19x9.5 +38 5x120 with confirmed Brembo clearance - 255 with a little camber in the back should make it work no problem

Blue Gunmetal Finish with a MSRP of only $470 per wheel
