I spot DOHC! Thought it was gonna be a single cam, not double cams.

Is there a motor that doesn't use a serpentine belt for accessories?
Back in the day of course Honda would use 3 different belts for the alternator, p/s, and A/C. I think that was left over from a time when some Hondas didn't have A/C and some didn't have p/s, or both!

I forget when they switched over to serp belts for the standard Civic. In 2006 with the R18 I think.

Wow that late? Thats pretty crazy. My 2000 ford focus had one belt driving all the accessories.

The reason being that the standard 7th gen Civic was running a D17 engine. The D-series began production in 1984! Saw a lot of changes, of course, but the big change came with the all-new R-series in 2006.
