Since the parking brakes are electronic, is it harder to change the brake pads?

Just to confirm if anyone here knows for a fact, is it as easy as replacing brake pads in a normal car? I heard someone say something about it being computerized (requiring it to be done at a dealer)

I'm hoping they were just spouting nonsense.

Front pads are the same, and should be no problem.

With rears I could maybe see something happening because the pistons are not only hydraulic, but also have a solenoid attached to it for the electronic parking brake. Best just talk to your dealer about it.

Rears will go at least 70k before you need to worry about them.

No. You replace the rear pads in generally the same manner as you would on other cars with rear disks.

Any german cars whove had electronic parking brakes for a while now, it's a hassle.

You need to ensure the voltage doesn't drop in the battery, connect their proprietary ECU connector, change settings on the electronic parking brake to ensure pistons are able to be pushed in and out, and then the standard brake job.

I have no idea how Honda has set it up but I doubt it's any different.
