Note that so far it looks like Honda is forbidding users to download and install updates themselves, it's going to take a trip to the dealer. Which sucks and seems to be a bit of a theme with this car: legal paranoia resulting in user-hostile policies (for example, not being able to optionally set Brake Hold or LKAS to turn on automatically, not being able to roll the windows up remotely, the warning on the infotainment screen coming up each time you start the car, etc.).

received a letter from honda last week for an update on audio system. civic touring

update was done by dealer through usb connection in armrest.

took about 20 min
