@ 6:14 of the video there was a very interesting statement on how to/where to buy the Hondata system.New video from Honda PRO Jason
So I would guess that if a Honda dealer can do this in the future, it won't void your warranty.....@ 6:14 of the video there was a very interesting statement on how to/where to buy the Hondata system.
"Soon, you'll be able to even call some of the Honda dealerships and they'll be able to do it."
But hey sign me up!!So I would guess that if a Honda dealer can do this in the future, it won't void your warranty.....
Safe to say we could run on the tuned basemap +3psi without having to worry about warranty issues? Especially if Honda is going to be doing this themselves sooner or later....Most tunes that retain warranty are very minor gains, such as the Mopar, fmpp, etc.
I doubt Honda corporate would sign off on having their ECU modified.Bit who knows.Safe to say we could run on the tuned basemap +3psi without having to worry about warranty issues? Especially if Honda is going to be doing this themselves sooner or later....
So basically always flash to stock and shouldn't have any issues? Even with an intake and custom muffler on the car?I doubt Honda corporate would sign off on having their ECU modified.Bit who knows.
Hondata said they were getting a 17 Civic and going to put 4000 miles on it and then submit the tune and data for CARB approval. If they get CARB approval, the next step seems to be to show Honda a small tune doesnt hurt the engine. I imagine thats what is happening since you should be able to buy a Hondata flash at a Honda dealer soon.I doubt Honda corporate would sign off on having their ECU modified.Bit who knows.
did they ever approve the past Hondata ecu flash? Just wondering why this would be any different.I doubt Honda corporate would sign off on having their ECU modified.Bit who knows.
from reading up it appears the ECU logic is different this time and there are fewer things you can modify on the ECU.did they ever approve the past Hondata ecu flash? Just wondering why this would be any different.
nice, if that's true and doesn't void the warranty ill start saving nowfrom reading up it appears the ECU logic is different this time and there are fewer things you can modify on the ECU.
