We'll see how it goes, but I don't think it's valid to look at last year's model and compare to this year's for curb weight. The design is completely different. The best frame of reference is this year's hatchback models.
If the CTR curb weight is truly 3000+ lbs I will be in shock. Where does 200+ lbs gain from the base model come from? Honda isn't dumb, it's not like they are putting rocks in the panels.
One thing I realized from all this discussion -- the LX is actually a compelling product. It's available right now, price is almost half the eventual CTR price. $16,000 buys a lot of mods... you could even buy an old ITR AND a new LX for the price of a new CTR.
