2017 hatchback - USB charging issue?

I'm having an issue where the driver side USB port under the center console stops charging my phone randomly. I'd plug in my phone, and connect via bluetooth for music and GPS. Within the hour (I have a long commute), the port stops charging my phone. The only way to get it charging again is to shut off my car, and turn it back on. Has any other 2017 hatchback sport owners experience this issue?

I had that issue with CarPlay until I used a better quality cable.

sometimes second USB under cup holders stops charging devices and sending the error - restart and replug helps, but the shit is extremely annoying

I wonder if that was the problem. I tried a different cable, and so far so good. Thanks!
