You would think the hatch would be less because your missing the truck space and no rear deck. But then again the hatch has a fancy windshield wiper. Hahaha

What? Hatches in the industry have been routinely marginally more expensive compared to the similarly equipped sedan variant...

Times have changed. My '98 Civic Hatch MT was cheaper than the sedan.

Honda has already said the hatch will be a premium car. Most media outlets like C&D are guessing about $1000 more per trim level over the sedan.

That's because the '98 Hatch had two doors lol and was much smaller than the sedan, and even the coupe.

The Mazda 3 hatchback is $1k more than the sedan, and seems to be the trend now for any car offering a 5-door variant.

LoL. Great point! I did splurge and "upgraded" to the DX which added right side mirror, rear wiper, rear defrost and a/c.

I pledged that my next hatch would have 4 doors. I was looking at the Fit before I discovered the Civic Hatch was coming. I want more power for the CO mtn climbs, therefore, the Civic is a better choice.

I haven't had a car payment in 9 years...I will suck it up re: premium $ for the hatch. I haven't bought a vehicle in 14 yrs. That was when internet sales just started ('02) and I took full advantage of using it to make my purchase. I so dislike car payments.

MSRP $29,995 for a '17 Hatch EX-L Nav - no other details listed, yet.

CO is in a vortex. No hatches

I should have never found this forum. Ignorance is bliss.

I want a new car...I waited 14 yrs for a new car.What is wrong with giving CO some of the hatches?
