Despite initial disappointment in the HP rating of the Si, I'm optimistic about the performance of the Si after seeing the lap time from the Type R. Honda has shown the Type R is capable of doing more with less compared to its rivals.

The FK2 actually did hit 271 km/h on the last straight. Maybe the FK8 has slightly more drag, has revised gearing, temps were different, or he didn't perfect the last corner.
The only thing we can confirm are the gearing and HP. Honda confirmed that the gearing on the FK8R was changed to increase acceleration, therefore, reducing top speed. Also, the engine was tuned to give a little more HP. Maybe the two things cancelled each other out?

As far as aero, the FK8R appears as though there's less drag. The FK2R is pretty "boxy". Hard to confirm without any data though.

Not the HP rating I was disappointed with. We all know Honda knows how to make horses. Would've been nice to see a car with more torque. Was really hoping to see Honda put out a car solid into the 200's on torque accessible to the masses. 210 would've made my day. I think the CTR is the only 4 banger with above 200 torque that Honda has made production unless the Ridgeline maybe? But isn't that only 6 cylinder?

Yes, the Ridgeline is six cylinder only.

I am still curious about it's 0-60 and 1/8mile time. Always good to know what cars I should and shouldn't race from the stop light.

I just read Honda-Pro said it was 173mph

Focus RS was 8:06 and it has 50/50 more HP and TQ!
I think the AWD cars in this segment (Golf R, STI, RS) are hampered by the drivetrain loss and weight.

In a wet track, I could see them being more closely matched with the R.

The FK2 CTR did 0-60 in 5.2 sec (albeit probably with a perfect launch), as per Top Gear, so I'd imagine it should be able to do at least that, especially since the FK8 is lighter and has tighter gearing with stickier tires.

I'm hoping it's right around 5 flat or under

I'm interested in those numbers as well as the 1/4 mile time.
