Hello all
sorry if really long...

so i recently have a new 2017 Civic Hatch EX-L (1 month old)

is anyone noticing or hearing a (and ill try to explain the sound as best as i can) when breaking
to a stop or slow down a hissing sound. a sound similiar to "smooth" as if rubing your hands together.
(again trying to describe the sound)

2nd time today i took it to service. 1st time said " they couldn't replicate the sound" today they said its a normal sound, as they test drove another car. and said its a normal characteristic for the CVT in this car

am i buggin or this is normal for everyone else?

thanks in advance

Did you test drive another car (or two) with them, too?

I'm curious about this as well. I get the same sound whenever I stop or come to a slow stop. I drive a 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback EX

well now that we are aware...if anyone gets to the bottom of this would be great. So at least we know what it is...

Hatchback Sport. I was specifically trying to listen for all kinds sounds when riding in first, and breaking, etc. Don't hear anything at all. Silent on mine. Maybe it's EX-exclusive, then?

Prob sound of the turbo, it is noticeable when at higher speed as you release and increase throttle

I've had my EX Hatch for a little over a month now, and I do remember hearing a similar sound when breaking, for the first few weeks.

It seemed to trail off after about the 3rd week, and now I don't hear it anymore. (I'm at about 1,088 miles so far). I'm pretty sure it was related the new pads being broken in. I'd say give it a few more weeks, then take it back in, if you're still getting the sound.
