2016 or 2017 civic

just visited my dealer and not a big fan of the 2017 hatchback, tested both 2016 lx sedan and 2017 hatchback lx, sedan seems more appealing and attractive to me, and w/ better handling maybe just a little bit, but the new 1.5t is amazing, like its fastback, better than the hatchback.

i want to know is there any improvement on 2017 vs 2016 sedan lx that will make you want the new model(prefer manual that's why go with lx). or should i just take the 2016 civic at a discounted price. any issue with 2016 model?

If you like the turbo, either get a hatch LX manual, or wait for the 2017 sedan EX-T manual.

Word around the forums is they won't discount the 2016s for a few months yet.

I'd get a 2017 personally. Second model year, so less chance of problems. Price-wise, keep in mind that a 2017 will have higher resale since it will be considered a year newer.

2016s only the LX with the 2.0 had an option for the manual transmission

I went in to have my wife test drive a civic sedan and hr-v since I already tested the civic sedan/hatch/hr-v. They were giving us a $1,200 discount off of the 2016 civic sedan right away....we didn't like the hr-v and only got $400 off the hatch. I got the print out for this, but they called later that day and said that they could do $2,000 off the sedan.
