This is the first I've heard of the smaller gas tank. That's kind of disappointing since range is pretty important for me. It's actually the main reason I haven't looked at the Fit more seriously. I guess the decreased capacity is more or less negated by the increased fuel economy, but still.

Is regular unleaded fuel the lowest tier of gas?

I just saw that and was a little bummed as well!

I am still hoping to squeeze 500 miles out of a tank on a road trip!:drive:

Thank you for this comparison. It's so much easier to see the differences and improvements this way and man are there many.

Weird first time I'm seeing it too. It's rare to see gas tank capacity decrease for a car that increased in size. Wonder if it was sacrificed for more cargo and leg room..

So it looks like the rear seat headroom actually dropped .5" in the models without a sunroof.

Unavoidable with the sleeker and faster roofline it seems. But it gained 1.2" legroom in the back so it looks like you can slouch and still sit comfortably ;)

What a big leap in looks from the 9th gen. You can tell why the 10th gen looks significantly longer - it's all from the C pillar rearward. The rear quarter window now extends back and comes to a point compared to the 9th men's which hooks back. Also the roofline now extends all the way back and forms the trunk while the 9th men's tapers down before the trunk.

Take some rear legroom back and give me a larger gas tank. I don't care how cramped people are back there. I want range. :)
Not only does a larger tank mean fewer stops, saving time, but also being able to "stock up" (so to speak) on more gas when you find it cheaper.
