What's the deal with the pinch just before the tip. Have not seen that on other makers systems?

It was to give it more clearance for the muffler to adjust height during installation. That part is where it sits against the bottom of the rear chassis. It does not effect the functionality.

You bent/pinched the pipe to create more clearance for the bumper and are really saying it won't effect functionality? Looking at the pics, that bend/pinch is creating a bottleneck, which restricts exhaust flow = disrupting functionality.
