I wish honda would actually add their ivtec technology on top of the vtc and that turbo. TKinda sucks that this will be the first si since 1989 to not have vtec.. Thats been the tradition honda as always held.
Tires will do alot for you, bridgestone ecopia ep422+ should help with gas mileage. I averaged 51mpg in my wifes 16 ext cvt driving about 80 miles. It can be done. That was on stock tires
There is quite a few beginner modders on here i see. Well a straight piped catless down pipe is going to give you the best flow directly from the turbo freeing up a lot of power that is cut back on from emissions control. If you live somewhere that you have to take your car somewhere to pass...
i'd love to see a longer run between those cars. I think the 9g si will come back on top end depending on mods. The power is definitely there with the ex-t. I'd like to run a s2 ext in my accord!
Aerodynamics with hatchbacks prove to be a reason as to why most manufactures dont make 2 door hatch backs. Or atleast a few dont. This is absolutely gorgeous though!
Largely disagree with your logic, practically 3 out of 4 si's i see have been modified in some way. And performance is not all your get wth the type r. You get better braking, much better suspension components and alot more design philosophy for high performance. The si is going to have a...
I find this 1.5t to be a big let down in the si platform. I've noticed a lot of people describe the difference between the si and type r just being the power. Honestly thats half the story. What makes the type r is its precise handling and high performance combined to make for a track demon of a...
There is a pretty good breakdown you can find on the internet about how honda has really put forth the engineering effort to make this as reliable as possible. The turbo is a fantastic platform that will be reliable for a long time. I can understand all of the other complaints. Take no offense...
Nope nothing like that, only occurs when coming to a complete stop or accelerating from stop. I dont believe their is anything rolling around il make sure though later today.
And it would depreciate like crazy. Unfortunately the best car in this class is the civic, if your having issues with it just gonna have to suck it up. Every new car has issues.
Looks like the manual scoots, or has very short gears, id like to see a video of detailed pulls. 0-60mph 40-80mph 0-100mph. Obviously in kmh but yeah you get the point. Also in the video cruising speed 70mph/120kmh 6th gear would be neat
