I'm very late to the party, but I finally had these installed. I'm an idiot and kicking myself for even waiting. I can't stop driving the car again. It's almost the same feeling I had when I picked the car up and drove 1k miles home lmao.
Not rare at all around me. I see at least one or two per day. Hell, in a 2 mile radius, there were 5 of us at one point before some got rid of theirs for higher end sports cars.
I couldn't agree more. It's all preference IMO. Some like the deep tone while some like the raspy tone. Additionally, there's also how loud folks can tolerate.
OP, as someone above suggested, your best bet is to go to several meets and listen to the different exhausts that folks may have...
I think a lot of tires would not hold up against a very large pothole going 80MPH. Strangely, I've gone over a pothole going 65-70MPH on stock tires/wheels and it only had a huge gash on the sidewall. The ties still hold air until now months later.
I think folks just like to protect "their" $37k investment especially if they plan on keeping that car forever and did not buy it just for the hype.
I, for one, have been waiting for Wet Butt/Ass (whatever you prefer) to make covers for the car.
It sounds to me like the "cool factor" has died down for ya moreso the fact that you're expectations were set high. That's usually the case for folks that get hyped over newer cars that are due to come out eventually. I know exactly how that is because I was once like that in my younger years...
Nope. I couldn't even if I wanted to since it was purchased out of State. Got a call on a Thursday that it was ready for pick up, flew that night, drove it home the following day. This was all in August 2017.
edit: year
There is a huge thread about the exhaust system in the Engine section. I would suggest bringing it up there, as there are folks who have expressed issues. Good luck and hope you resolve the issue.
How often will she be riding in the car? I must've missed it, unless it's going to be her car, then I'm thinking a little compromise can be worked out. Good luck!
You're not alone. I'm on comfort mode majority of the time. I'm only on sport mode when I forget and on R mode on canyon runs. I feel that for the day to day driving in traffic, comfort is more than enough.
