VW Golf. I've wanted a hatch for a while and glad that I'll have the chance to consider one by Honda. Golf has really conservative styling but it's generally the same great iconic look after all these years. Hope the Civic hatch blows me away and makes the deicsion an easy slam dunk!

So glad they kept the LED DRL and tailights too, but I'd be shocked if it also came with LED headlights standard... would be nice to see it standard on the Si or Type-R though. S660 type interior would be sweet.. it's simple, sporty, and has that driver centric wraparound design.

I didn't even know what the first gen Civic looked like and just looked it up after this thread. This thing is awesome! Now I get why ppl love Civic hatchbacks.

Yea but do they actually sell a larger ratio of the exciting versions of a car vs. the boring versions in the other countries that get the exciting cars? Not rhetorical, I don't know the answer.

Agreed. And now both will be available here once the Type-R hits our market. Never understood how these sports cars were kept out of the US considering we're the largest market for sports cars in the world. Makes no sense.

After just 2-3 days of looking at it, the rear is now my favorite part of the car. At first I was a little iffy on it but it's so unique and eye catchy.

About damn time... why has Honda always given the US a different Civic? And kept the Type-R away from us for so long? Makes no damn sense.

Nice pics and excellent concept!! The rear is overstyled but it'll get toned down on the production Civic any way.
