  1. Any property rental owners here that can chime in with some advice for a sketchy situation?

Not uncommon for rental properties to have out of state or even out of country owners... my parents rented a house (one of many in the area owned by the same guy) and he lived in France... the owner simply hired a go-between company to handle all the day to day stuff and the owner would come by...
  2. Any property rental owners here that can chime in with some advice for a sketchy situation?

Only thing they *might* need to worry about is if the landlord decides to contact employer.... If it's a legit company that he's using, then it shouldn't be an issue. I spoke to the property manager I work with about this and she said the only time they call employers is if the employer in...
  3. 2022 Civic Hatchback Spyshot

And I read an interview that said it'll continue to offer a manual, but an auto was not off the table either. They basically just wanted to confirm the manual would still be around, but didn't give a hard no to an auto option either. I know an Auto Si is a sticky subject, but honestly... with...
  4. 2022 Civic Hatchback Spyshot

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility... Honda could go a few different ways... given that from what we've seen the turbo is no longer going to be standard on the hatch... the sport could remain an in between base 2.0 trim filling the gap between LX and EX. That leaves the Si to...
  5. 2022 Civic Hatchback Spyshot

According to a japanese publication the new civic (at least the hatch, but I assume the sedan as well) is getting an "all new" platform. Most likely the same platform the new ILX replacement will receive which already has people hoping for a double wishbone front setup on the new civic. With the...
  6. How many more 2021s be made? When will the next gen body start shipping?

It could also be there will be a staggered release for the body styles (as there was with the 10th gen). The sedan may debut/go on sale this spring and the hatch back will hold back until July when Swindon closes officially. I would expect the possible Si models to come slightly later, maybe...
  7. How many more 2021s be made? When will the next gen body start shipping?

Unconfirmed if this is true or not... but according to a reddit post on this exact question, a guy who claims to work in honda engineering said that production of the current gen civics will wrap towards the end of July of this year... however, this seems to contradict Honda's claims that the...
  8. 2022 Honda HR-V Redesign Spied

Turns out, this isn't OUR HR-V in the USA... this is going to be an Asia/Europe only HR-V/Vezel model. Honda revealed this model the other day, riding on the new Fit platform and using a version of that hybrid system. The US (and I assume Canada) will get a different design all together...
  9. Where is/was your rattle?

2019 Coupe EX Had a rattle on the driver side next to the steering wheel (close to where the buttons for the traction control are). Has seemingly subsided, pressing up on the area made it stop, but it only seemed to do it when I was traveling <25mph on less than smooth road. Haven't noticed it...
  10. Don't Drag Race a Sonata N-Line

Very interesting. I agree with them, the results really don't make much sense given the power and weight of these cars... but I think it really does come down to the transmissions, which I've long thought the reason why similarly powered kia/hyundai cars are slower than similar hondas. I am a...
  11. 2022 Honda HR-V Redesign Spied

I'm sure it probably has grown a bit. They expect it will still ride on a Fit platform to allow for the magic seats, but i'm sure an inch here and there has found it's way in. I agree the 1.5T would be the best for this car, and the fact its offered in other markets already. Even if they used...
  12. 2022 Honda HR-V Redesign Spied

Hadn't seen this brought up. But the (expected as a 2022 model) redesigned HRV has been spotted a few times. Autoblog has an article here While I'm not a crossover enthusiast... looks like honda is trying to spice up the modest little HRV. Here's hoping they drop in the civics 2.0 base...
  13. Want a new 2021 Civic sedan with a manual?

Given that most of the Si's competition offer an AT option, I'd jump at the chance for a DCT or ZF mated to an Si, while of course keeping the manual as the standard. It is a bit odd they nixed the MT for the sport model however... it's still available on the HBS and HBST. Wondering if they're...
  14. Insurance cheaper on SI vs EX for me. Wtf?

Yes, it's probably the sensing features. In insurance speak, the Si is just another trim level. Heck, my insurance didn't even recognize the difference between the EX and EXT when I had my 16' EXT.
  15. 2020 Acura TLX First Drives Are out

Motortrend and C&D just revised with performance numbers. They're not great... The TLX is 700 pounds heavier than an accord, and it's performance, even with the higher output 2.0T, suffers from that bloat. MT clocked it at 7.1 to 60... C&D got 6 second... the Accord sport 2.0T does that with...
  16. Coupe owners

I'd probably look at the Hyundai Veloster if the interior wasn't so cheap. Most likely will go for the next gen civic HB unless the possible rumors of the CRZ returning come to fruition, then I'd go that route most likely. I've got at least another two years with my coupe, so I'll wait and see...
  17. Type S Gets 355 HP

So I actually saw a new white TLX (non Type S) last week when I was leaving work. It was parked off to the side of a small side street. I noticed the new headlight graphics first, then looked at the tail as I passed and no doubt it was a new TLX... I was like "oh cool, new TLX" then I remembered...
  18. Honda Floating a return of the CRZ?

I don't disagree, for now that is definitely the best course of action. However, if I had to guess, this car, should they choose to make it, is still easily at least 2 years out from being on sale anyway... let's hope that things have at least mostly gone back to normal by then. Perhaps the...
  19. Honda Floating a return of the CRZ?

While doing a little random googling today, I found this (albeit old) article from C&D about talking with Honda back in 2015 about Honda's plans for a second gen CR-Z that obviously never materialized. However, it may give some credence to the potential of a new CR-Z with Honda's recent renewal...
  20. What does everyone think of the upcoming Mazda3 2.5Turbo?

That's the issue exactly with the old style twist beam (just like the 8th and 9th gen civics had). They ride fine over most roads... but over bumps, and especially if you hit bumps while cornering, the whole back end of the car will jump and skip to one side (not confidence inspiring).
