  1. 10th Gen Civic 1/4 Mile Times

Well he's running 40 weight oil which for sure will rob a few HP from a tiny engine, plus using traction control which also isn't helping nor are the All-Season tires. The curb weight listed is also about 150 lbs heavier than stock, is that correct? Other than all of that something is still...
  2. Was I ripped off on trade in?

Wow 18.5 seems crazy high, but I haven't even tried to shop mine. I only paid 22k new for an EX-L, could have bought a sport hatch for 19.5K at the time. Maybe I should try selling mine?
  3. Money Shifted my new Si today :(

Tell that to my wife! She has twice pushed the lever from D to R while reaching across my lap with the car moving forward at parking lot speeds. I applied full braking instantly both times and there was a jerking, but no bad sound or noticeable effect to the CVT. She's almost done it to me on...
  4. Possible Recall from Honda for all sedans

Well he doesn't abuse it but my moms neighbor has a Lamborghini Huracan. She lives in a one bedroom condo that she paid $40k five years ago, as does he! He parks it in an open car port 18 inches away from the two rusty beaters parked on either side of it.
  5. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

It's definitely a It's definitely a popular choice. Money or weight no object I have no clue what I would pick just for style. My requirements were 18-19", 8.5+" wide, medium offset, and lowest weight to price. That narrowed it down to a relative handful of choices of which Tracklites were...
  6. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Thanks man! I live in rural Michigan, so I am still contemplating how much of a drop I want. Honestly this car with winter tires is unbelievable in everything but super deep snow. I don't want those ice slabs to form in the wheel wells though and scrape around corners Everytime I go through...
  7. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Took four days and three separate shipments to get my new wheels from TireRack, but finally got them mounted up. Excuse the filthy car. I love the fit, looks better on the stock suspension than I thought it would.
  8. Possible Recall from Honda for all sedans

I just saw this on my car yesterday, not as bad, but enough to have me explain paintless dent repair to the wife.
  9. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Yup, 18x9 et35. I almost bought them with all seasons last year but got winters for the stock wheels instead.
  10. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

I got teased with a split shipment of my new wheels, only one showed up! I just had to test fit anyway. Hopefully the rest show tomorrow!
  11. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Thanks! Those DWS are great tires, had them on my 6-speed Accord. I am actually stretching 225's on 18x9's. It's not by design, but there was a killer clearance on these that I had to take advantage of...
  12. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Wow that seems really light, those tires must be like 22lbs. They look good, want to see them on the car. Did you actually weigh the stockers too? I have mine coming tomorrow too and am going to weigh both to compare.
  13. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

I've had both and the Sumitomo's are far better dynamically all around especially in wet and snow. The Firestones had some great tread life though, the Sumitomo's only lasted about half as long. That said the Sumis are probably only a C to C+ tire to me, but good for the money. The Firestones...
  14. Pennsylvania Stock parts for sale - clutch, springs + shocks

How much tread on the Tires if you still have them? Are they summers or all seasons?
  15. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

Is that a known fix/tweak, or specific to your setup and fuel? I'm about to replace my plugs anyway and would like to use the best plug/gap setup for my TSP tune only CVT.
  16. 2021 Civic Type R Limited Edition: Ultimate Track-Focused Type R Coming to America

I wonder how much the cheaper the Sportline will be. Less of the ugly aero crap replaced by components from lesser models and riding on 19's should make it cheaper right? Too bad they didn't decide to save 80-100 lbs by making a sedan or coupe version.
  17. Any hypermilers here?

Just about everything that you said would be true if I were actually following semi's closely, but as I stated I am not. The recommended legal following length is one (~20ft) car length per 10mph. If everyone did that on the highway cars would be spaced 50 yards apart. No one actually does...
  18. Any hypermilers here?

You don't need to be remotely close to a semi to get a good slipstream effect. 20 car lengths back will give you a good little boost, and riding the bumper will pretty much allow you to turn your engine off except for hills. I try to stay half of the legal tailgating distance, about a half car...
  19. Anyone from Michigan?

Welcome! Don't even second think it, get a KTuner or Flashpro as soon as there is a sale and you have the cash, you will not regret it. We have incredibly cheap e85 in our area so I would go all out with flex fuel Ktuner and TSP stage 2 if you can swing it.
  20. What's your favorite all-season tire/brand?

I actually lucked into a set of Pirelli Sottozero 3 winter tires for half price that I couldn't refuse. I put them on my stock wheels and delayed the wheel/tire package until spring. These things are unbelievable though, so much grip yet great snow traction. I can go around a wet corner...
