I can't find it in the manual, but I think I read: If your key is still in range of the car after 30 seconds, the Walk Away Lock gets cancelled. I think that's the rapid beeps you're hearing. So if you hang out by the car too long, Walk Away Lock cancels and it lets you know this.

Thanks for this one. It happened to me on Sunday night and I was really wondering. Every time I walked past the passenger door while washing the car, it would beep and turn the lights on, then off. Very weird.
Yikes! That is a tad expensive. My dealer threw in mudflaps, high wall floor/trunk mats, an ashtray and gave me a hat (lol!) for free. I'm glad because I don't think I would have paid for any of them.
I think if it's done in a subtle way, it would look cool. If I get one, I'd be tempted to do some binding type trim on the interior, maybe some interior lighting and although I usually hate exterior ground lighting, on this car I don't know if I could resist.
