Lol I'm still pushing all my air through a stock TB. Paired with my skunk2 manifold it's like a hotdogs worth of air down a hallway, if you catch my drift haha
Thanks! Haven't changed up much lately. Been to busy lately with other junk haha. The civic is still going strong at 40psi and 477hp! And the capts gears are holding the power perfectly :)
All I have is upgraded springs in the head. Stock cams as well. I did consider upgraded cams and doing some...
Thanks! It's been one heck of a journey for sure. I have to run a ridiculous amount of boost to make alot of power with thr 1.5. Seeing 40 on my boost gauge makes me nervous haha. The 2.0 is definitely better at power with the larger displacement. Can't wait to see the results!
The type R retrofit is good for the mid 400s. I did go from stage 0-> stage 1, but only because I already had the trans off for other reasons. But the stage 0 never slipped at 450.
Using the 2.0 accord fuel system with a dw300, eman system. Which runs out of fuel, with e40, at 35-36 psi.
Using meth injection for extra fuel to go the rest of the way *cough 40 psi
hondata ran alot more then E40 and seemed to hit similar boost targets. To me it looks like it flows more.. but...
Did somebody say water/meth ;)
Interested to see the limits of this new system! 33psi with E85 already sounds pretty promising. Interested to see the dive into the accord HPFP you guys are doing to.
Seeing good advice here! When pulling mine I left basically everything attached, minus the AC compressor. Yanked the engine and trans out with the harness on.
Bro.. if it lasts long enough to worry about corrosion, calling it a win lol.
The factory lines are ethanol friendly. So no worries there. Injectors do tend to fail sooner on ethanol tho.
In terms of meth and corrosion. Biggest issues are quicker oil dilution and the rubber seals on the intake...
Another note. Please be fully built haha. Transmission will also need a minimum of 3rd gear and 4th gear upgraded as well.
The cost of the 400hp club $$$$$
Biggest hurdle will be fuel. The factory fuel system runs out at 28 psi with e40.
The accord 2.0-> civic 1.5 fuel system conversion. This is good for about 35-36psi.
The big kicker. The ECU is limited to 32.7 psi, on the electronic wastegate. So you're spending almost 2k to get from 28-32psi...
First thing. If you can get E85, go that route. It's simple and there's tone of support for it. When it comes to meth you'll be a little on your own, there isn't a specific kit for our cars. But there's nothing wrong with any of the universal kits.
In terms of a meth setup on this car. Single...
Unfortunately there's not much in terms of people messing around with the transmission. And alot of people will do everything at once on it. And not play around with combinations.
Stock synchros can be used with PGP as well. The option to upgrade the synchros is relatively new, so most with...
