No issues w/ oil dilution yet. I did have the 'fix' (TSB) applied a long time ago. I would also be the ideal candidate for oil dilution - I live in western NY (cold/snowy in winter), and have an early build Hatchback. I do remote start in the winter to get the engine warmed up a bit before the...
My commute is < 2 miles. I've had my car since Dec. 2016 w/ 16k miles, and haven't had issues. Now with this pandemic, I work from home 3-4 days/week, so putting even less miles.
Yep, I have the '17 XT. They don't make the XT yet for the new generation, but the Outback did get the XT version, so I suspect a Forester XT will return. If your kid is 9, then the Civic hatch will definitely be fine, and it'll be much quicker than your Forester.
I have a '17 Civic Hatch, and one baby. The Civic makes a decent baby mobile - great gas mileage in the Civic. Wife previously drove a '05 Civic Sedan, but we recently traded that for a used '17 Forester XT. I love the Forester and very jealous it's not mine (though I take it out for...
My '17 hatchback (got it in Dec. 2016) has 16k miles. I didn't have a long commute to begin with, but I've been primarily working from home for the past month & a half. I haven't driven it in a week, so I need to do that!
I've had it sit for 3 weeks in the cold winter and it started right up. I'm not too worried as temps are in the 50s here. You're just giving me an excuse to go driving.
I have experience with a F30 335i, which the powertrain was very reliable. It's the electronics that had issues (particularly the rear view and side cameras). The 335i was very fun, and mine was xDrive/AWD, which was great for northeast winters. Why not consider a 440i, which has a B58?
Congrats! We just had our first baby in November, so I think I can help with questions. I installed the Graco Snugride 35 (super easy to install w/ LATCH anchors) and it works great. The hatch has plenty of space for now a family of three.
I have them on my EX-L Hatch and they work great at night. Is it installed properly?
Don't confuse Honda Sensing with auto-dimming rear view mirror. Honda Sensing is the suite of safety system. The auto-dimming rear view mirror is just a convenience feature.
I have a hatch in upstate NY with cold winters, with <1 mile commute one way. I also can't walk due to highway crossing, traffic, etc. I do remote start to get it a little warmed up, but you won't have that option in the Si. I've had my car since Dec. 2016, and had the oil dilution 'fix.' So far...
Sport Touring now available with a manual? That will make some US buyers happy :)
I want that additional insulation, and the new dash trim looks nice. I'd like a volume knob as well. Oh well, not going to trade in an almost paid off car for those changes.
You need the latest version of Android Auto, but more importantly Google has to make the server side update. I have a S8+ with the latest version of AA, but still on the old UI :(
The whole point of auto. climate control is to set it your preferred temperature, and forget it. Having GPS linked climate control sounds like it would cause confusion and less than desirable temps. in cabin.
You are going to take a big hit for selling a car 3-4 months later, and if you're ready to do that, your best bet is to sell it private party. If you can hang on to it for a few years, you're much better off. Next time take the time to actually research what you're buying and make sure it is the...
