It seems like the early movers in the aftermarket have just gotten their hands on the cars so it'll be months before we see anything. So far it's been some real sloppy work just to show what a modded Civic X could look like but mostly poor vinyl wraps, hacked up suspensions/exhausts.
If the next S2000 has Type R specs it's going to be quite an expensive roadster ($30-40k). I'm not sure there's a market for small expensive roadsters. Miata sells still because it's cheaper and well it's a Miata. Other than that what roadster has sustained sales and managed to stay around for...
Even if we hadn't seen spy photos of it just knowing it will be offered in the US makes a larger 5 door hatch a better business case for it to sell here. With SUVs and crossovers ruling sales they would be foolish to bring a small hatch to a market where hatchbacks aren't popular to begin with.
I asked jdewd if he can do this too, but since you have the 17" Touring wheels off now, can you check the backside and see if they are engraved with offset information? Do you also have a scale you could possibly weigh them on? Thanks!
3.4% difference in diameter/circumference. That's not much difference but I wonder how sensitive the traction control system is and if it'll be affected by just 3.4% change.
Thanks so much! And when you're weighing them can you please examine the wheels to see if there's offset information displayed on them? Sometimes they're printed on the inside barrel somewhere.
Can you do us a favor and when you get the factory tires/wheels off can you please weigh them? Maybe together and separately if you're unmounting the tires? It'd be good data for current and future owners. Thanks in advance!
That's usually the case. These are warranty extensions that any dealer should be able to sell you. Easiest way to price shop is just call or email lots of dealers. Doesn't even have to be within your state.
In past Civics I think there was a frame cross member that you could use, but I'm not positive. Even if there was in this Civic, you'd have to remove the plastic covering from the front of the car to use it. Without removing the plastic you'd be doing it blindly trying to search for the jack...
That's silly. Look elsewhere. AFAIK all the guys here who've taken delivery have paid no higher than MSRP and at least one has gotten under MSRP. And the guys who paid MSRP have had a bunch of stuff thrown in or some $ added to trade-in values.
