In general, the insurance company doesn't care what you paid for the car, only what it's worth. If this owner paid 10k over MSRP he/she just lost 10k plus any existing depreciation. Edit: If the car is a total loss.

I agree, and rather it were a raw near-race-ready car similar to the Integra Type Rs. I really struggled with the decision but ultimately passed up a black one for MSRP. I could live with the car's other oddities but the bumper covers look silly and ruin the whole car for me.

It breaks my heart it isn't as raw and simple in design as many previous Type R vehicles, specifically the Integra. I detest the monster sized faux vents in the bumper covers. And, I agree it would be nice to have some sort of special Type R only color like Yellow which I love too.

My current 2014 Civic SI is the closest I could get to my GSR. As for manuals, its the only way to go if you want the full heel/toe/throttle blipping experience. Personally I don't care about LED headlights, butt warmers, lane sensing etc. I enjoy being fully engaged in the driving experience...

My '95 GSR was black... last black car I owned. I could never keep it clean and I didn't drive it in rain or snow. Even just the dust from sitting in the parking lot at work during the day would bum me out. I loved that car, wish I never sold it.
