  1. Apple CarPlay not working

Make sure CarPlay automatic start switch is OFF. May have something to do with it, may not. But worth a try. Worked for me when I had the exact same problem. Also make sure you swap cables. The tiny metal pins on the cable tip that connect inside your lightning port can get mucked up or slightly...
  2. Apple CarPlay F**king up every drive

Turn off the toggle switch that tries to automatically connect to CarPlay wirelessly. SETTINGS>GENERAL>CARPLAY>HONDA
  3. Latest TSB for head unit update?

I experienced consistent CarPlay disconnections until I "cleaned" my available memory with an app called Memory & Disk Scanner. After scanning and cleaning, freeing up about 1.5gb of memory, no issues. Kind of a pain to do every time I get in the car but better than not having carplay at all...
  4. Anyone know what the top speed limiter is set to on the 1.5T models?

How did you take that pic??? I'd be white knuckled on both hands on a public road at that speed. EDIT Just saw your follow up post re: closed course. Still, balls of steel to hold a phone with one hand and the wheel at 132 with the other.
  5. Wowwww, the hatch subwoofer is SO much worse than the sedan's!

I'm in exactly the same boat as you are, interested if anyone here has any real world experience with it. I have pretty much decided on the JL PowerWedge+ unless folks have anything bad to say about it (doubtful!). Also want to hook up one of these to it...
  6. Illinois Check in....

Wheaton (Western Suburbs) here. Usually try to give the " " to other 10th generations around town. Getting more difficult near me - nearly every stop light. I'm a bit old for get togethers (I think?) but yes, good to see who's in the neighborhood, etc.
  7. Honda R&D articles on the CivicX

Thanks!! I love this level of engineering specifics.
  8. Apple CarPlay issues

Another idea - plug your phone into another Civic and fire up CarPlay! (maybe a friend/neighbor/dealership's car)
  9. Apple CarPlay issues

Just a hunch, but it could potentially be one of the internal connection pins of your Lightning port on the phone. Have you tested for the buzz using earbuds/headphones or another hard-connected speaker system? Also, try swapping your current USB with a fresh Apple branded cable.
  10. Infotainment bugs

I'm also having this problem. Dropping mine off tonight to fix actually! There is a TSB (attached below) that advises the service department to do exactly what Priceless_Civic reports was done to his - a replacement. I will be taping a copy of this TSB to the dashboard. :)
  11. Carplay stopped working

I have the same issue about 2-3 times/week. I've found if I turn the side camera on then off again by the turn signal stalk my CarPlay interface returns. I'm taking mine in to update the firmware to solve this, and several other nagging issues with the system on my '16.
  12. Garmin Map Updates

Not sure if others will have the same experience, but after getting the same messages via Garmin Express that my maps are already up to date, I was not satisfied with that response. I also have a lot of out of date roads and places of interest on my '16 Touring. So I created a Garmin account to...
  13. Latest TSB for head unit update?

Here's an interesting tidbit. In our last few pre-CarPlay USB enabled Hondas we would see a popup error message appear Every. Single. Time on the Honda infotainment screen within a couple of minutes after plugging in one of our phones. I wish I had the exact language of the error, but it was I...
  14. What do you do for a living?

I'm the Master Data Management Lead at Elkay. I help the business improve the quality of their data through policies, procedures and tools. :)
  15. Anyone Using Adaptive Cruise Control (sensing) in Stop and Go Traffic?

Maybe time for me to break down and read the owners manual, I did not know this either! :D This will prove to be fun/risky for me on the highway lol
  16. Anyone Using Adaptive Cruise Control (sensing) in Stop and Go Traffic?

Sorry for the dumb question (I'm sure there's a hundred threads on the topic, but I couldn't find any for some reason) - how do you activate "Low Speed" CC? Or do you just set the cruise at say 45mph and the car tries to get up to that speed but can't in heavy traffic...?
  17. Lunar Silver, Energy Green or New Blue

I was really torn between the Silver and Aegean Blue. I really love both colors very much. Like you, I was replacing my old personal car (that's my '03 Civic LX next to my new AB Touring on trade-in day :D ), so I think for me I think I wanted to do something out of character and less...
  18. Anyone Using Adaptive Cruise Control (sensing) in Stop and Go Traffic?

It does. At night I can see the reflection of my 3rd brake lights in the rear glass. I would have to assume this is a legal requirement, or else anyone who plows into the back of a slowing Civic without brake lights could sue the pants off of Honda.
  19. Post pictures of your subwoofer set up!

My Touring has a stock subwoofer, but I've been seriously considering a simple upgrade to something more substantial. The all-in-one amplified JL Audio MicroSubs look promising, simple to install, small in footprint, and transferable to future vehicles. From what I've read, they are seriously...
  20. HondaLink - recalls, maintenance

Same problem here - iPhone 6 running iOS 10.0.2. Just got off the phone with technical support, they too were able to recreate the non-connecting issue. Personally I don't really care about the functionality of HondaLink, EXCEPT for the ability to automatically place a call if the airbags...
