  1. Civic Si with 8 Speed DCT - Who would buy one?

Ya but times change, its not the 90's anymore or 2008 for that matter. DCT is state of the art. The take rate on manual transmission cars is so low... its basically a dinosaur at this point. And don't get me wrong I love me a manual transmission car... but not in my daily driver and not in 2018...
  2. Civic Si with 8 Speed DCT - Who would buy one?

100% I would order one up tomorrow if it came DCT equipped.
  3. Next auto-show or info release date?

I think it just built frustration for a lot of people. You can find other threads with hundreds of posts where people are not happy. I really needed a new vehicle and to me waiting until April or May I was also concerned I would be completely let down with the stats.
  4. Next auto-show or info release date?

Its what I planned to get. The Golf R all said and done cost me $37,190. I expected the Civic Si to come in around $32 and my budget was $35k. I paid cash and had saved for quite some time so it wasn't about a payment or any of that stuff. The AWD to me is worth a slight price difference.
  5. Next auto-show or info release date?

Fuck Honda. I waited since 2016 for the Si. I waited right up until 2-3 weeks after the Si unveiling in Novemeber. They presented a car with no stats, no figures. I thought they would release the data or atleast start a marketing campaign with info. I went and bought from the competition 2...

  7. 2017 Honda Civic Si Prototype Debut - Q&A, Photos, Video

So 184 ft lbs of torque.... and stop start technology? Atleast we see its a different turbo, sodium valves might mean higher redline... Maybe we will see more than 215hp ??
  8. 2017 Honda Civic Si Prototype Debut - Q&A, Photos, Video

Exactly, 1.5T Fit Si to compete with the fiesta ST, 2.0T Civic Si to compete with the Focus ST/GTI and then the 2.0T Type R Civic to compete with the Focus RS, Golf R.. Anyway give me a cheap 1.5T Civic Si with 218hp and i'll take it I guess. Cheap was the key word because if its priced like a...
  9. 2017 Honda Civic Si Prototype Debut - Q&A, Photos, Video

On their way back with a gray market sports car?? Really? I went to the dealership to look at this one here in Canada its starting at $189,000 the one on the showroom floor taxes in was $229,000.... Dodge cant event sell Vipers for $90grand, the Vette Z06 is half this price, the GTR half the...
  10. A 3DR Si Hatchback would look better..

    Pretty much perfect!! Nicely done
  11. Who killed Kennedy, the KFC recipe.....,

They wont announce anything because if they do, they know Hyundai will out do them :) I'M just here to be a PITA because Honda is being a PITA to its potential consumers. I do know the competitions websites very well now and have my comparisons ready whenever Honda decides to put the new Si on...
  12. 2017 Civic Type R Championship White Spotted in SoCal!

Looks good actually. Right up there with the Focus RS -
  13. Perspective on the Civic Si 1.5T engine choice

Yep Honda could put this all to bed by posting the info. I'm in the market to buy soon, I'd like to know if this is worth waiting for versus VW (GTI or Golf R) or Ford (Focus ST).
  14. Perspective on the Civic Si 1.5T engine choice

its actually 0-60 7.8 Seconds on the manual for the hatchback... that is the Civic Touring Sport with 180hp.... http://autoweek.com/article/car-reviews/first-drive-2017-honda-civic-hatchback Anyway Honda needs to cut the bullshit and post the horsepower figures for the Si. I already know the...
  15. Perspective on the Civic Si 1.5T engine choice

Well if they are already under rated from factory.. with 174hp and 180hp on the sport touring then that's not good news because these cars are running 0-60 in 7.2 seconds... so they are infact slow for the power they make :)
  16. 2017 Civic Si - 25% more torque and horsepower than the Civic Touring

I'd call it adequate for a sporty car, not exceptional. I'm also expecting it to be about a 5.8-6.2 second 0-60 time. I guess we will see. Now they just need to get it out to market by the end of March
  17. 2017 Civic Si - 25% more torque and horsepower than the Civic Touring

According to the source below the 2017 Civic Si will have 25% more torque and horsepower than the Civic touring. http://www.torquenews.com/1574/honda-performance-fans-dis-10th-gen-civic-si-prior-market-arrival#comment-55922 This source attended the official unveiling and under this headline...
  18. Perspective on the Civic Si 1.5T engine choice

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this car came out with 206hp at this point -- as they claimed this is the most powerful Si. They screwed up when the 9th gen first came out and had a huge backlash from consumers and testers... didn't they learn?
  19. Perspective on the Civic Si 1.5T engine choice

The issue is the motor, I didn't want a 3XXhp civic. I think the type R looks Hideous. I just wanted a well done Si with a 2.0T and I would have been fine with the 220-230hp rating we all expected, I would have been happier with 240hp per se.... and knowing that the 2.0T would have some more...
  20. Really...??? Your thoughts???

I can't wait for the Hyundai N division now!! I'm pricing a fiesta ST and a Focus ST right now. After that I'll spec out a GTI and a Golf R. Thanks for helping me decide Honduh!
