  1. 2016 Seat Cushion Replacement

Have a 2016 Civic Touring with the perforated power leather seats. I somehow managed to get a nice large tear right in the middle of my bottom seat cushion the other day and wanted to replace the cushion / cover. I found the correct part, but before I go ahead and order it, I was wondering if...
  2. Latest TSB for head unit update?

I've had the bluetooth skipping issue for some time now since purchasing my 2016 Touring. I have to bring the car in tomorrow for a couple other unrelated things but remember seeing a TSB (16-022 maybe) that addressed this issue with an update of the head unit software. Is this still the latest...
  3. Xbox / PS4 capable on infotainment screen?

Here's what I don't get about the whole "DVD while driving" argument. Either you're watching the movie while driving, in which case, Darwin award, or you're just listening to the audio, in which case, why don't you just get the audio file or play it on your phone? As for the "no, it's for my...
  4. Strange sound at startup

Again I'll ask, what even hint of evidence do you have that this sound is not normal? The dealership techs have said it's normal. Honda's own engineers say it's normal. The cars have been doing this since delivery and can be replicated in multiple vehicles. The car operates normally. No...
  5. Strange sound at startup

Forgive me if this was covered somewhere but, does anyone have even a single shred or hint of evidence to support the claim that this sound is not normal? Car functions properly, has yet to have any component break, Honda indicates everything is up to spec, and yet there are 32 pages of...
  6. Totalled?

If the car still drives straight, it's likely mostly cosmetic and should be a relatively easy repair.
  7. Turn signal arm and windshield wiper arm no longer illuminated

Very few cars have those illuminated, the Civic not being one of them.
  8. Can a rear wiper be installed?

Yes, it's possible to install one. That said, 1) it would be amazingly expensive and difficult due to all the custom work required and 2) it isn't really needed give the cameras and performance of RainX or similar.
  9. To repaint, or not to repaint, that is the question...

While I don't know how good the factory finish is for Honda, typically speaking, a respray will almost always be of a lesser quality than the original. What's to say there won't be more defects on the respray anyways? Just leave it be - it's a tiny blemish that you'll soon forget about and will...
  10. Front grille coming apart.

Haven't had this issue, but some have had a similar one with the trunk trim. I'm sure if you bring it by the dealer they can install a new clip / trim piece for you. I'd ask if there was any chance you / someone else hit it, but I feel like any impact hard enough to damage a clip would have left...
  11. Multiple issues with 2016 Honda Civic EX-L

The rattle and rough idle at start are pretty par for the course - they should go away once the car is at running temp.
  12. CVT Problems on New Civic - Please Help!!

The same exact odds that technology 7-11 years old is compatible with today's tech. You make do, find work-arounds, and live without certain things. And while it's true that products "aren't built like they used to be," modern CAD, knowledge, materials, and construction lend a lot to longevity.
  13. Jerk after sudden braking

This happens to me pretty regularly and it's one of the few things about this car that really annoy me. At times, it feels like the car is going to stall itself or something of the like. You can feel it under even light breaking as you hit ~4mph. Really not pleasant at all. Funny thing is, it...
  14. Is there any way to turn off rain sensing wipers?

There is definitely something wrong with either the programming or design of the auto wipers. I have had similar experiences with mine regarding the erratic behavior.
  15. Automatic Wiper Issues

I don't know if it's just a fault in my car or a fault in the design of them, but the automatic wipers in the Touring are among the most frustrating and worst I have ever encountered. Under certain conditions they seem great, however, the more I've had to use them, the more I realize there is...
  16. Screen protector

If you get specks of dust caught under the screen just lift it up and take a piece of scotch tape wrapped around your finger to remove them. I wouldn't do a wet application with this film.
  17. Folding in side view mirrors?

That's because they're not really supposed to. They're hinged both ways (as they are on most cars) so that if someone hits the mirror while going past you, it just bends forward instead of breaking off. That said, they're designed to be stored by bending in, not out.
  18. Screen protector

The scratches you're seeing aren't in the glass but instead the anti-reflective coating. Happens even with the best coatings out there.
  19. Be careful debadging...

Be careful with that as it's easy to go from adhesive removal to paint removal if you're using an actual heat gun.
