Welcome. My understanding is that the calipers will not be able to clear a 16" wheel, so you can't go minus 2 for rims, only minus 1 with 17" wheels. You can thank the Si's larger brakes with larger calipers for the inability to fit 16" wheels like the base Civic comes with.

Under the fuel recommendation for the 2017 Civic Si in the manual, you'll see that it recommends 91 octane or higher for models with Sport mode. It also states "Use of a gasoline with a pump octane less than 87 can lead to engine damage." So it is always better to be safe than sorry.
