I think 55 mph is the sweet spot to get the best gas mileage. Econ mode does nothing for me but it makes the car "feel different" and that's the reason I use it every once in a while.
tire rotation also helps with the tire noise you hear in your car. When you rotate the noise seems less intrusive for a couple of thousand miles.
