nothing better than the Touring. That said, what I find valuable, may not be your value points.
Nevertheless, I just boought a 2018 CR-V navi as I could not justify the Touring Trim on the CRV:
These are my value points on the Civic Touring: 55+ MPH hypermileing: LED headlights, Navi - android...
AA and CP turn-by-turn display in binnacle are on available on "navi" displays equipperld with DII (driver information interface). I cannot find a reference to turn-by-turn in an EX-T vehicle (non NAVI). I have the Touring (sorry). Open Settings --》Vehicle or System. Make sure that Carplay is...
Fyi - I started hypermile driving years ago with my Ranger. After 100k miles, I was driving with original factory brake pads (checked by me ever 10k miles for wear) plus over 55k miles on tires still legal. Similarly, the clutch and 4WD linkage were still in servicable tolerances. My main...
We are all happy that you are not our girlfriend. That said, "Small things matter to the wealthy." Besides, you falsely assume to know something of us. Purtroppo per tu.
Thanks for the informative feedback. Last summer while driving the 1.5t I routinely logged 55 MPG straight and level highway and 45 MPG pump2pump math average. This winter I'm averaging p2p 35 MPG. FYI, the trip computer measures within 1 MPG for city/highway combined.
I was a hypermiler until my MPG dropped 10 MPH. Dealership tells me that "winter" fuel burns with lower MPG. Anybody heard of this? I'm in California and the temp rarely drops below 0°C
The CVT has a learning curve i.e., clutch. Once learned, CVT has more benefits than detriments. The 1.5t is a dream compared the the 1.8l especially coupled to the CVT (owned both before the '16 touring). The folks who complain about the CVT should have purchased something like the WRT. That...
Question: is "brightness" the knob that when pressed toggles, the A,B and odometer function. If yes, holding these three simulaneously results in a reboot (yes/no) not any other menu choice. I'm driving a touring 2016 with most recent flash update ( supposedly). How do I enable the menu shown...
Using "summer" fuel, '16 1.5l turbo had a pump-2-pump mpg of 42+ which is 5mpg better than '13 1.8l. In "winter", I average ~38 mpg. 50% of my driving is +45 mph steady. I am a hypermiler. I just drove all 65+ mph for ~40 miles and the computer indicated 48 mpg. Same teip in the summer shows a...
The dealership told me that winter fuel reduces mileage by 5-7 mph (0.75-1.0 kpl). That said, I was averaging 5-7 mph last winter more than this winter so I don't know what to believe. Traction is not a factor in my climate (I think).
Excellent use of tools to troubleshoot system. I've been led to believe that AA and AP must use 5-wire USB connectivity between HID and smartphone. Based on your research, I agree that some sort of handshake takes place between smartphone and HID. Question: why does the HID loose connectivity...
Nice graphic and detail. May we get from you the entire PDF and/or link of the exploded drawings for CivicX sedan. A "tools needed" guide is also appreciated. Thanks kindly
Oh - "hold more power" = transfer more torque to wheels amd "mod" = change ECC config to increase BHP. Question: Why not just bye a vehicle with higher rated H
The two years I worked and lived in Calgary took a heavy toll on my Ranger. I cannot imagine the horror of Alberta roads on my Civic (I parked in a heated garage M-F 8-5PM). In my situation, wet/salt/clay "snow" was a problem from March to June as it is the cold on the prairie precluded...
FYI on using ramps. Verify that forward air dam does not collide with the ramp face when driving up the ramp. Someone posted the incline specs for unaltered CivicX vs. the ramp face. BTW- That's why I adopted the 2x8 fir strips I don't trust the metal integrity of (CanadaTire/HD/Wallmart...
A while back, someone suggested 2x8 boards (24") under a wheel after raising the vehicle with a good quality floor jack. A total of 4 boards under both front wheels provides my skinny ass with sufficient work space. I reposition the spare when rotating the tires. Safe, simple and god knows...
