So far I only turned off the VSA, and the car feels better to me. But I wanted to give it a bit of time before doing other things to see if I truly can tell the difference. most of the snow melted on the roads now but winter is not over so I can do some more testing.
well to clarify I have ZERO issues in the winter with civics (just this one apparently has an over-aggressive VSA) - that is the only reason I had an issue. Turned this off and played around and the car is more like what I would expect. The driving is on ME, just like I like it to be.
Civics...
I turned off the traction control and it does make a difference, for the better. It's kind of funny and ironic in a way :)
thanks again for all the helpful comments!
all very helpful, thanks guys!
one question, do I have to turn VSA off everytime I start the car, or does it remember the last setting (once off it stays off or once on it stays on)?
Have had my SI for 4000 miles now (7+ months) and I do not regret buying it. However I have a new gripe about it but I don't feel its unique to the SI and probably applies to most cars these days.
Was just curious if other people felt the same or maybe I'm on my own here.
Without getting too...
Wha? Now I think you're making fun of me sir! :) j/k
but that is interesting to say the least. I should state I'm in Minnesota. So weather may be different. Its been like pretty nasty outside lately, but with a massive warm spell, its like 32 degrees and from the comparison I was like, its not...
Just to add, my MPG has declined drastically, my driving habits are unchanged. But with winter and all there is usually some MPG decline with all my previous cars but it seems to really impact this particular one. Am currently getting around 30-32mpg on 91 octane. Down from 40-42mpg. Bummer...
Owned two different 2000 Blue Si's and now this one.
I've had several Honda's over the years
* 2001 Prelude - epic car and has a unique driving experience for me (super long low hood)
* 1997 Del Sol Vtech
* 1993 Civic EX coupe
* 2004 Civic EX coupe - two of these as well (one auto and one...
thanks all, that's what I have found as well but thought maybe I was missing something to make it faster to add music (sucks having to copy 50gigs of music every time you want to add something)
Hey all, I had a question for those using a THUMB DRIVE for audio.
everything works fine however when I "ADD" a new folder (like a new album) it will do one of two things when plugged back in to the car:
* put it at the very end of the folder list when scrolling for the album (will not show...
well yeah cause the coupe is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
with enough cash on hand, you can do anything you want with the spoiler. It will more than likely fit, however it might have different mount points so you might need to fill some holes.
what about custom rails (brackets) for the seat. I haven't looked closely but perhaps there is a way to lower the seat from the bracket that gets bolted to the floor. Its not really that uncommon (especially if you change out seats - they all require some kind of bracket). This way everything...
I've seen this as well with multiple Honda's. just something they do from time to time (VERY infrequent though)
my question is when I've seen this its been with a Honda with a physical key to keep cranking on. How does it work with the push button - does it keep cranking by itself for until it...
Lighter is "good" but "balance" is best, don't forget about that part. removing a lot of weight in the rear on an already nose heavy car will for sure impact the handling.
