Hey OP manage to find the issue, my dealer lubbed up the brakes but can still feintly hear it like you when it gets hot enough, when i have time ill check on the loose clip
Haha basically that's how my fronts were. The grooves which (which is normal I believe) dusty holes, with lip and pads were on it's way out.
The rear rotor seems fine, still flat so the shop was like just wear them out until it needs replacing.
Yeah the rear pads needed changing at the time. Not sure about the states but here in Australia when there's an issue they actually show you and explain it to you and you can go and do your own research.
It's not like they take your car away in the back and do some shading things here.
Last time I took it in for a service back in May I was told that there were 40% pads left on the front brakes. The rear pads needed to get replaced.
I decided last Friday to get some new pads for the front at a performance parts store. The guy saw the rotors and told me they were 'fucked'.
Did...
Hi guys,
I recently changed my rotors and brake Pad the other day for the first time on my 2017 since bought new with now at 29k kms on the clock.
My father who drives an old corolla pointed out at why this car, brand new car needed it's rotors replaced whereas his car (and all other cars...
I got them replaced at a Honda service centre. One thing I noticed was that they didn't put back the pad retainer wire. Would that cause it? Got a booking to go back and show them.
I have the exact same issue on mine 2017 fk8.
Only thing I can think of is that my rear pads got replaced 2 months ago.
Took out the wheel and had a look around the dust shield and flexed it but the was no to rock. Tried to spin it but can't spin itquick enough. The chirping comes on at 2k rpm...
Hi!
Thanks for your response. That would sound more like a clunk/knocking sound. This one sounds more metallic squeak. Happens while driving straight. Turning doesn't make any difference.
Hi folks
I am attempting to diagnose a feint chirping sound coming from the rear passenger side from under the car. My car is a 2017 fk8. It's only done just under 29,000kms.
The sound comes on around 2k rpm. The frequency of the chirps seem to be directly related to the rotational speed of...
I think I gave up on the rattles by now. Everything rattles for me now. Inside the dash, behind my ear, around the rear passenger door. The window even rattles.
100% this. Happy with my 2017 CW, wouldn't trade it for an LE at all. Only thing I like are the rims but that's not enough for me to trade. Yellow with the black vent? ew!
Yup I agree with this. Has to be in writing and at least signed off. Phone conversation has no merit. That one person could say 'No issues' but the next person might say it is.
I don't think FWD or transmission issues would be a con. let me explain:
- FWD: at first glance, yeah it could be but if you had to pit it next to an STI, Ford RS, Golf R (some cases) that are AWD cars, the CTR would win. Yes, in a drag race (at the finish line), and roll race, and circuit...
Thanks,
As I understand before Instant Jailbreak it was $250 to unlock the ECU via benchdesk which I understand as it requires man hours to perform the jailbreak.
If it is automated now, what does the $250 cover by the Instant Jailbreak?
