While it bounced a lot does the extra rigidity help rotate the car? Jason Ruggles drove one at the Gulfcoast Autocrossers event and said it was so much easier to rotate stock than the FK8.
We have someone running one in our Red Hills Region and to me, he isn't pushing it, he did better in his...
@CIVICTYPERMNLONGENOUGH if you watch the Spoon track video of the FL5 before they install their suspension, the car bounces like crazy. I was wondering what it would be like for an autocross run.
@apexit53 do you happen to know Ron's setup other than the tire size? Does the FL5 bounce a lot?
Haven't seen an FL5 registered for an event yet. Would like to see one in person which is an odd thing to say because the engineers around here always have the latest and greatest.
"And I can be mean to her, I've hit holes so big the tire bounces up til you can see daylight. I've hit or backed into plenty of stuff. And I even take a 50lb survival pack, and another toolbox, that bang around the hatch non-stop. I've manages Jturns in the grass fields and scrambling up a 20%...
Hello. For those running the new Potenza RE71RS did you have TireRack Heat Cycle the tire and did you find it worth it?
I have a CS ND Miata friend who had his second set heat cycled from TireRack and found it to be better from the start.
Thanks in advance.
Well the SCCA Solo Natz 2022 is in the books.
Top win: Multi Championship Driver Matthew Braun but Alex Mursean and Garrett Cogburn gave it a go and without the cone on Alex, the time was close.
Podium: 1st Toyota 2&3rd Honda
Top 10: 5 Honda / 5 Toyota
Trophies: 9 Honda / 7 Toyota
I think...
Okay, at first, I was like, cool .10 near each other. But then Steven pulled off a run that I haven't seen him do (well heard him do) in a very long time. Interesting season opener.
Looking at the Vegas tour entries, there are a lot of 2022 BRZ entries. To include Donna Marx behind the wheel. Most drivers prefer RWD, so this may get even more interesting.
Day 1 at the SCCA Red Hills Tour has Steven Hughes in P1 in DS with Terry McIntyres' 2022 BRZ. I've been around Terry as he is learning to push the BRZ coming from the GS Si. He has changed the shocks, tires and I cannot remember if he has done a bar. Unfortunately he is having an issue with...
One former GS Si owner bought one. He said needs tires (normal) and has changed the shocks.
An ES driver who drove one said needs tires, shocks and a bar. He also said that it wasn't enticing enough to leave ES to drive one.
Overall they said the power/torque was better.
Input / Help Needed.
This is the second set of Bridgestone RE71Rs from Tire Rack that won't mount to the NSX rim. They go on but won't bead. The last set we got on, this set has been tried for 2 days with no luck. It's the 255.
I'm about to give up and remount the old tires for Solo Nationals...
@krazykiwi care to share the information you shared with me on how the gear locks into place and under a heavy load a lift could allow it to unlock and pop out. You were more technical in the explanation than me ?
