Hey Froggie. I basically had the same exact sound. Took it to the dealer yesterday and had the exact same issue Banshee had. It was a rock wedged in the rotor. They took it out and checked over everything but no noise for me anymore. What makes me concerned at this point is that it's clearly...
Anyone ever figure out what this actually is? I've just started getting this really bad when turning in reverse(either direction). Sounds like a spring is about to snap :( I'm wondering if I should just take it in regardless as I feel like a new car shouldn't be making sounds like this already.
Not sure if anyone has noticed this on their CTR or not. When I'm coasting in 3rd/4th gear anywhere between 2.5/4.5 RPM (not on the gas at all) I can hear a slight grind coming from one of my passenger side wheels. Once I press the gas it goes away though, so not quite sure what's going on...
Oh my that sounds nice. Backordered until end of next month though so maybe enough time for some reviews to pop out. Definitely a fan of the carbon tips that's for sure
Yeah I definitely didn't curb them it's definitely a cut/chip more than a scrape, but sometime between Sunday and last night I must have run over *something* while driving that crunched it. Oh well!
Is it really? Even if it's just cosmetic damage? The tire/seal are still totally fine, and it's probably more of a chip than a chunk. If the wheel was busted yeah I would assume warranty would cover it but I didn't know if they would handle cosmetic damage as well.
I unfortunately just found a mysterious chunk missing in my driver rear wheel. Can't afford a whole set, but keep me posted if you end up having 1 or 2 left over. It doesn't "need" to be replaced, but depending on how much it bugs me I might just be willing lol.
That's awesome. I think I'll have to check them out since they're so close! I don't know if they do anything for referrals but if they do, you should PM me your name so I can let them know who is getting them more business :)
I had thought about some form of protection, but ultimately I drove my ctr home naked. I walked a few laps around the car every time I stopped and didn't notice any problems. My luck will definitely run out so I've been looking around Charlotte for a good shop.
As someone who is arguably not the best manual driver, I can vouch for it being pretty responsive. Depending on what RPM you're sitting at it'll give you different results obviously, but after just driving it for a few days now it's easy to get a good feel for what to expect from it.
It actually really wasn't too bad. If I remember correctly, isn't the 3rd exhaust there to help with the drone? Either way It never bothered me on the drive back
I didn't during the trip. I knew it wasn't going to be great compared to my cheapo rabbit so I basically just looked past it besides "I'm close to empty, better find some gas". Doing some napkin math it looks like I was somewhere around the 24-26 range which is actually right around where it...
I'm a little under 6 ft and ~200lbs and the seats basically felt perfect. I hardly moved when on the backroads, and they've got plenty enough cushion for road trip bumps. I only really stopped when I needed to (gas/bathroom) which was probably around 6 times. The most uncomfortable part for me...
That is unreal haha. That was most definitely me! I used to live in the burgh and wanted to get through before the evening traffic (obviously didn't happen). Luckily you mostly avoid it anyway on 79.
Thanks for the extra insight! I didn't mind the shift in power, I just thought it interesting since I didn't have the background knowledge. Now I have to go look for that extra USB port
