Thanks! currently testing. I would normally go straight to the track. Unfortunately, I'm quite busy recently. Might not make it to track at all until end of this summer. I probably wouldn't be a good person to ask about NVH as my car is track prepped 24/7. My suspension is full on RV6...
Thanks for the feedback. i'm very well aware of all the so claimed functional parts of this car. I never said it doesn't work at all. After all, the air coming in needs to exit out. I described everything above in earlier response. Adding to that, I'm here to state the oem FK8 vent functionality...
based on my last response, you can say I PRIORITIZED the flow to the vent in the wheel well area. IMHO, the pwjdm trim doesnt' channel anything. Its just an opening. Better than nothing i guess if you're lead to believe the oem hood scoop works
no worries, you have the right to judge and question. I assume people would ask and they did on FB, but i didnt' want to type out a book again. But here it is again. lol.
The OEM hood and vent system does not work well. There's 3 claims. 1. it doesn't work at all. Car & Driver states this as...
Now that everyone's done w/ the FK8 platform and market is dry, I'll start/continue to make parts. ;) I got a few things in mind. First up, what I believe has been missing since 2017, an actual traditional fender vent that we all thought we had at one point. It may be obvious the OEM design...
Yea fo sho. Enjoy. There’s gotta be some sorta line with the jdm tax. I’m all for supporting jdm and quality but $10 bushing turning into $500 is ridiculous because of “spoon”. I installed these myself. Fit is perfect. And I track my car often and these help maintain alignment to a certain...
Save yourself money and get these. Your good to go. No ones removing their subframe constantly or even taking these out once they’re installed. Theyre not breaking. Theyre going to hold up lifetime of the car.
nice article! IMHO, the price is utmost important. Sub $200 TW200 at that. I'm not spending $300+/tire. interesting enough, most people that hoards A052 doesn't even track them. 🤪 For me, the v730 was the killer combo for a sub $200/tire for a 265 w /great grip. The price increased now, but...
what mounts are you using now? BTW, i ref your gauge video for an install. very nice. which fuse did you tap into for the Advanced Control Unit? I didn't see where you showed it. Thx!
ah...yes, i've heard of the kn failing many people. But haven't heard as bad as you w/ the CEL. What's crazy is I've used probably 30 of these filters and not a single problem and I tracked 15 or so of them. I notice my last batch was made in the USA. not sure if that had any better quality...
haven't heard of this issue. Most people that does change go straight to hasport early on. Doesn't surprise me if does crack. Any rubber mounts crack over time. That being said, these mounts aren't that old being 6 years old.
from experience in US and in socal, can't do much with petty crap like this. In fact, it's on YOU. Yes, it sucks, but that's how it is. You could report it to insurance and police. The police won't do jack as they have bigger things to do and what are the chances they catch these punks...
so it was fine and dandy before you did the oil change? this your first oil change? Not much going on with oil change besides the filter and drain bolt and of course oil. So if leak started after your oil change then try to chase it back or clean up the leaks and go from there. Check to see...
pretty nuts and even more nuts there were no signs (or you didn't notice) of anything before it went boom. i've seen coolant reservoir leak and separate for track folks. You mentioning no oil is quite alarming. Did you ever notice any leaks? Usually, you would notice a weird smell or coolant...
When do you guys notice this clunking? specifically. right turns, left turns, straights..etc? The subframes are the same for the FK8. It's interesting the clunking went away for some via shims as mine is actually touching, so snug snug. A shim wouldn't even fit in there. Have you guys...
I have tons of seat time with 255/35 square and recently changed to 245/40 rear. Not the setup for most but i enjoy it and works out quite well. although, the 35 may be too short for the front
unfortunately, that's a bad situation. I've been there. You could wing it and try to align and install the arm back as is. Most people seem to do that not gaf. What i did was i used same tool to remove the cup from joint. Then i went to a machine shop that pressed the cup back in the arm...
i would do things in small stages to see where your are at. I didn't see you mentioning a larger grill. So if you don't got one, get one. If you're borderline overheating like you are, that will alleviate it. I use vp racing stay frosty and it helps. I don't have any numbers unfortunately...
