Likewise “Daytona” Black series. Got it from wearelikewise.com part came from Australia and got here within a week. Not sure what the weight is but it’s an amazing height for someone looking for something other than a short shift knob. Part came with threading after I selected what thread I needed.

Nice longthrow knob. I bet the leverage it gives you makes shifting feel so much more effortless. I prefer these over the short knobs that you have to muscle around

After having owned a Ford Ranger for a year, I NEVER want another "long throw" shifter as long as I live. That thing was almost two feet long!

I have owned several manual trans S-10's and can confirm, truck shifters are ridiculously long throw.

It's amazing how smooth it transitions. You basically have to put no effort into throwing.

So after an exhaustive online search and calls to several vendors, I finally found the shift knob I wanted. It is a weighted NRG carbon fiber shift knob that is threaded for Honda. I didn't want to deal with a universal knob that would potentially get loose. This one screwed right on the factory shifter, and fits perfectly. It weights 1.1 lbs and feels almost twice the weight of the factory knob. It allows some great solid shifting. Installation took an whopping two minutes.

The only thing I would have preferred was a knob with no writing on it, just carbon fiber. But I could not find that in a weighted option that was threaded for Honda.

does this have a direct thread? i see some NRG have a plastic adapter and thats what most people are complaining about. And does it get hot/cold depending on the weather (like the metal ones)

Yeah it is a direct thread. I used the factory set nut instead of the one that came with the knob. I’ve only driven my Si in the cold once since installing it, and it is significantly less cold than the factory knob.

Ahhh man that reminds me of the four on the floor my 83 Civic has. Once I have money again, it's gonna be my project car :)

OK Guys - from what I'm seeing here it really IS possible to change the Shift Knob!! I tried unscrewing mine and looks like the knob is somehow attached to the chrome plastic collar so that when I turn the knob the entire Boot rotates with it.........not the way my knob unscrewed in my 2012 Si - and I don't want to break anything - you Guys must have the "answer"
