I have the Morimoto Elite 35w HID kit and it’s seriously impressive the amount of throw and light that is put out. I would never go back to halogens. Warm up is a non issue for me, it takes a matter of maybe less than a minute and in that time I’m getting settled with things in my car and they’re already at their operating temperature long before I’m ready.

how did you find the auxbeams in the rain? i bought sylvania halogens but they honestly still seem so dim to me during the night.. and when it rains its barely noticeable that my lights are on.. curious how LED's are cause at 30USD(would be more here in Canada) cant really go wrong. but hearing how they arent good in rain and snow makes me stay away, since we get lots of snow up here lol
Snow, you are really going to want HIDs, and stick to the 5500K, it will work best in snow. LED was out in the rain, I can't even imagine what they would do in a heavy snow

I have LED's, and I no issues with rain. Mine are factory, plus I have LED fog lights. I have no trouble seeing in,any weather, plus people bright light me all of the time thinking I have my high beams on.

completely different level when they are factory LEDs. Plus the factory LED lamp has 5 LEDs in it, each one in it own specific led projector. We are talking about garbage aftermarket led bulbs with crap chinese led chips on them

the only thing is is that HIDs are pretty expensive especially the ones people are recommending coming from the USA. maybe ill look into it next summer. but ya i figured LEDs would be garbage in the snow.

Keep an ear out just incase you get the infamous internal rattle from the brass filter inside. I contacted mishimoto about it after the 2nd day of installing it and they quickly sent me the updated brass filter and misc hardware to correct the problem. @Mishimoto customer service is awesome!!
@RedFK8, installed catch can last night. this morning when i turn on the car, i can hear the vacuum noise from inside the car. i hear no rattling in the catch can when i try to listen to it in the engine bay

i was more talking about the morimotos that I've seen people recommend. those are $150 usd+shipping and customs and all.
also the one you linked isn't found on the amazon Canadian site so if i order from the .com i don't get prime and ill have to pay fee's on top of the conversion for duty and customs. So in CAD , 75$+tax+fees could be up to the $100+ .. tough to tell cause i don't know the duty/customs fees..

So it might look cheap at first but it adds up. Not saying $100 is really expensive, just saying in comparison to an LED set i could get for $40. and at the moment i don't really NEED to invest money into lights. maybe in the future though, HIDs seem like the way to go.

I've got cheap ebay leds installed and I'll let you know how they work out for me come first snowfall. I'm in Ottawa, one of the worst places for snow in the winter.

Another thing people in the states don't realize is that with our super cold temps, an HID kit takes near forever to warm up. I used to have them on my last car and it was at least a few mins for full light in winter.

Also, a way I get around a lot of the pricing/availability is by driving down to Ogdensburg, NY. It's only an hour drive from Ottawa and it's already saved me a few hundred bucks rather than getting shit in Canada.

Example: was quoted about $260 CAD before tax for ctr rear sway bar with d brackets at my local dealer, with a lead time of "unknown". Ordered the same part from G1 parts in the states, was shipped out in 2 weeks, and I paid $106 USD for it, all taxes in. Converts to roughly $130 CAD. Half price man.. For the cost of a short road trip, and I dunno about you, but I get like 5.2L/100km driving highway. $10 worth of gas?

Pm me if you want more details.
