This is a good shift knob, but I returned mine and got a custom raceseng Slammer shift knob. Still waiting for it to arrive, will post once I receive.
I like it so far. I wish it were a bit more top-grip style, and maybe darker, but that's minor stuff. The weight of it is amazing. I actually put it a bit above stock position because I like the leverage.

Their 'smoke' one looks pretty cool (although the engraving looks of poor quality in close-ups)... Translucent is an interesting idea. Congrats, and looking forward to your review when you get it!

Why did you go for it? And what's wrong with the stock one, in your opinion?

Nothing about Raceseng is poor quality. You're probably referring to the tool marks in the engraved areas, which most people just aren't used to seeing because other companies just flood paint over them, e.g. every knob in this thread with a shift pattern on it. Raceseng engraves through the finish on a spherical plane, which is incredibly difficult to get right, but they do.

Thanks; I know (knew) nothing about them, -- was just going by the images on their website:

I guess it just looks weird because it's zoomed-in so much; the actual thing is a lot smaller than that image so it probably looks fine in real life.

Would probably get one without etching anyway (if I were to actually order it)

Custom Orange translucent. Don't think I can find that anywhere. Plus the added weight is great. I think the Skunk is around 440g. (1lb) and Raceseng Slammer is 650g. (1 1/2lbs). With the stock shift knob, I feel so much notchiness when rowing through the gears even after 3000 miles. These weighted shift knobs smooths everything out.

I am a little worried about the size but it should be the same height as the skunk but just wider. Should be here in about a week or so...

Have you received your custom side panels?

Hmm... "Side panels" sounds like you got the wrong guy, officer. :)
The only thing I "ordered" was a set of leather covers for console and door handles from redlinegoods.com (as mentioned on the dedicated thread), -- still waiting for those...

I'll be installing the full titanium OEM S2000 shift knob. Just need to order it on next check.

Looks great! I knew you would be getting it soon as I think you ordered around the same time as me. They do such quality work and it's definitely worth the money. I almost got the translucent blue, but everyone I know orders translucent, so I went for the blue metallic instead. Hope you don't burn your hand on that all metal shift knob since you're in Vegas. :D Looks like your shift boot still clips on too. My knob goes down a bit too far so I can't clip the boot, but as you can see in my pics, it doesn't really sag or hang down, so I'm just going to leave it alone.
