One thing I missed in the video, were these tests on a stock tune or with increased boost?

Thanks for the heads up - I've been humming and hawing whether to get an SRI... I know I'd love the sounds, but if it comes at the expense of power, it's too hard to justify for me. :(. Now I'm leaning toward an AFE filter and the PRL intake hose instead.

Contact Injen on that. But after Hondata's video an SRI did not loose power, just about the same as OE until 5000rpm then a few HP so it's not as bad as some make them out to be and if you can get one at the right price it's a win/win if you ask me. My car is not a race car that I'm trying to wring out every last ounce of HP possible,,,,,,it is a 1.5l for god's sake.....LMAO

@Moderator - can this thread be retired and locked, please? The Hondata testing revealed that the allure which spawned 59 pages of replies was not based in reality. Folks may easily get the wrong idea. Thx.

Can someone give a comparison between this Injen intake and the upcoming PRL intake?

One have a better reputation for quality over the other? Thanks

There’s no comparison. Prl leaves Injen in the dust. Prl is far better quality, and has a better reputation as well, they are honest and do extensive testing to provide the best products possible. Injen= mass produced products, fit for money income.
Prl= quality in-house hand made products tested for the absolute best outcome for said selected platform.

Thanks for the info. Seems like an easy choice with that said. I had that feeling based on what I have seen on the forum with their other items.

Nope! They both make claims to extra horsepower. PRL says, "~5 horsepower and torque gains throughout almost the entire powerband in comparison to our Stage 1 intake system. This means 9 - 14 horsepower and torque gains throughout the entire powerband over the factory intake." HERE

Why not a comparison? Hondata says none of the intakes (that they tested, including Injens) make much horsepower. So vendors are all over the place.

I personally opted for the PRL CAI because well....they did a 1/4 mile run in the low 13's with this being of the modifications. I don't care what the horsepower is, that is convincing enough for me. I am critical of PRL's bends but understand why it's there. And it is not as bad as I thought when I saw a pic from another angle.
