My Takeda Down Pipe Install on Civic Si

I can see that the rv6 actually give you the ability to reinstall the heat shield. The Takeda down pipe does not. I'm wondering if that's going to be a problem, or if it hinders performance.
I cant tell, but looks like only the AFE has the Cat option.....maybe that's why it costs more

I would have gone with RV6 or PRL, the heat shield does have benefits as far as performance and temps. But I don't think it hinders it by that much of a noticeable difference as far as the performance gains. The heat shield acts like header/downpipe heat wrap. It keeps the heat inside, which is a good thing. And it keeps temps down in the bay, which in theory would help reduce intake air temperature, pair that with a better intercooler, and you know what that means.:drive:

I just recorded a flyby video so you guys can see what the car sounds like with the down pipe, and now, the front pipe.

I got the Boomba Racing one when they released it. It's decent, but it doesnt have a high pitched sound. More of a woosh that hits twice. To my knowledge, there were no other direct fit bovs available with a mounting plate
