I was able to put mine back to stock but I don't think it reverts it back to the factory default.Has anyone had an issue putting the car back to stock? Saw a FB post where someone said it put it back too "their" version of stock not the one the car came with????
No, they can only see how many times the ECU was flashed. To me this would be an issue if bringing it to the dealer for work.....NO?
If I recall the ECU's in question were L ECUs, whereas the rest are A ecu's. Only a small few were like that from what I read. @KTuner had to add an exception to their program so that ECUs that had been flashed back to stock from Hondata would then be able to load to Ktuner.Has anyone had an issue putting the car back to stock? Interesting...No, they can only see how many times the ECU was flashed.
the lease is like trading it in, when you drop it off, all they care is that the car looks like it did when they leased it to you minus all the miles and regular wear and tear. Like DC said, the only reason Honda or anyone would ever look at the ECU is if you gave them a reason to, like blowing up the motorInteresting...
I am considering getting this for a Sport I decided to lease, since none of the trims are exactly what I'd want for a purchase, currently, and I'm basically buying 3 years of time for essentially the (current!) Canadian sport trim features to be available in a US model.
But that doesn't mean I don't want to have some fun in the meantime.
What implications are there from the dealer being able to see if the ECU was flashed a number of times? Denial of warranty? Lease turn-in problems?
Would they have to specifically look for that number, or ...would they perhaps not even think to root it out for say, a 40-something well-dressed professional as a customer?
Also - do you need any physical hardware to stay in the car, post-flashing?
What about the warm start CVT grinding noise?the lease is like trading it in, when you drop it off, all they care is that the car looks like it did when they leased it to you minus all the miles and regular wear and tear. should just get it fixed under warranty I guessWhat about the warm start CVT grinding noise?
oh yeah, i flashed stock for my AC and TSB work this time.I meant if I should return it to stock before bringing it in for this. I's already a known issue with Honda as there is a TSB so I would not think it would matter but better to be safe?????
Oh is there...?I meant if I should return it to stock before bringing it in for this. I's already a known issue with Honda as there is a TSB so I would not think it would matter but better to be safe?????
