Had lip installed earlier today. Just now noticed as I looked closer. It obviously looks worse really close but my bumper where it meets the headlight has this gap. You can see the black clip. Maybe I've just never noticed it before it maybe it was just reinstalled wrong. Either way it's bothering me. That black clip you see, it's sitting on top of the latch piece. Is that black clip supposed to sit under or over the bumper. To me it seems like there's too much gap. My wife's touring doesn't have this problem.

Now that I look at a write up of how to remove it looks like it's actually correct if I'm looking at this right. That gap still doesn't appear right though :/

Do you think it may just need to be pushed in more to secure the clips?

I pushed and it moves forward but I don't know how it would go in any further.

There is a black plastic air duct on each side of the condenser above the aluminum bumper beam, those have to meet with the bumper cover properly. That can cause an issue getting the bumper cover on all the way. Also check to make sure that the air intake for the intercooler has the black plastic top and bottom covers mating with the bumper cover properly.

It could also be one of the clips snapped and gravity it was making it slip toward you?

Was this installed at the dealer? If so I would compare with the other vehicles around you. Looks like it is off though.

I pulled that side back last night and popped it back on. It looks better now.

Hey dude this is funny but I have a lunar silver sedan and I have the same gap on the passenger side. Didn't notice it at first but it started bothering me the night I hit a raccoon (poor guy he ran right in the middle of a busy road and I tried everything to avoid him) I don't know if the racoon caused it or if it came that way from factory. It really bothered me when I started noticing it but now I learn to live with it, I've read other people having the same gap issues on the 10th gens, something with Honda having difficulty flushing the plastic with the metal. Maybe down the road i will try to get it fixed, cheers.

The Honda dealership I use did this twice where they bent the clip and broke it off. That was on my 9th gen SI that I had them install the HFP front kit, then again on my Accord Sport when I had the Sport grill installed. Both times I had to tell them it was incorrectly re installed. The second time even before the car was outa there staging area I noticed it and laughed out loud what the heck you guys did it again.

How did they replace the clip. Isn't it on the car not the bumper.
