Not gonna lie i call bullshit on both your stories eitherway anybody can photo shop a buyers order. Just be happy we got si'sNothing blows my mind unless I see proof.
I bought a new 2017 Civic Si for $18,530 cash OTD last month. See how easy that is?
Very true. Some people are just salty I guess. I love my Si. I have owned 7 Si's since 92. This by far is my favorite though. I did love my 08 Mugen Si though. Not gonna lie i call bullshit on both your stories eitherway anybody can photo shop a buyers order. Just be happy we got si's
I have an honest question -- this math means you basically bought 2 cars every year, for the past 20 years, from the same dealership. May I ask why? Just trying to understand what would possibly prompt one to buy a new car every 6 months. Also, how could it possibly be a good thing financially? Wouldn't you automatically lose money with every such transaction? This is the 39th Honda/Acura (Not a Typo) I have purchased from this dealership. I worked there when I was in college in the late 90's ...
Well some cars were project cars. Some were for my wife. The rest I have a decent commute about 100 miles a day so I would trade them in almost yearly. I believe 3 times I was a little upside down but I'm talking $500 to a $1000. All my cars were bought at invoice or lower so I never took a hit on my trade in. Now a days I have a company vehicle for the last few years. I average about 2k to 3k a year on my cars now.I have an honest question -- this math means you basically bought 2 cars every year, for the past 20 years, from the same dealership. May I ask why? 39 cars between "late 90s" and now (presuming "1997" would be a reasonable guess), that's 19.5 years, which makes it "twice a year", not "almost yearly"almost yearly
Think we got off on a bad foot. Enjoy your Si. Its a great car...and people tell me I'm crazy for having bought 25 vehicles in 28 years of driving.
I should probably get rid of the Ridgeline since after 6 weeks with the Si it's pretty clear I have little interest in driving it - that's almost $40K just sitting there collecting dust and depreciating. Based on history, however, the moment I sell it I'll need a truck. I do enjoy seeing it in the garage, though - that White Diamond Pearl paint sparkles beautifully under the overhead lighting of my garage door opener.
I agree. I went to my 2nd local dealership today just to test the waters and see if they would go below invoice. They wouldn't budge at all from the 24,775 sticker price.Well, inventory is starting to accumulate at the lots. So I suspect the market adjustments will start to fizzle by mid September, after 2018 changeover. For those still looking for a decent deal, stay patient. Half the dealers in my area are selling at or very near MSRP, w/o add-ons.
For real! A salesman tried that crap with me today! "Limited production, hard to find", yet you have 5 sedans and 3 coupes sitting on your lot?It seems they also think the Si is a limited production vehicle.
