1997 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC
a fellow Lincoln head. I never had a Mark VIII like I wanted (and by the time I could get one it was too late), my '04 LS V8 was sweet when it worked though. I also had a '72 Mark IV for a while.

My last car before my '17 Sport Touring Hatch was a Ford Escape. A nice enough compact SUV, just a bit boring.

I think my experience with Lincoln is behind my desire to make my Civic cabin quieter. The media say it's the quietest civic... REALLY? I can't believe how noisy it is!
I really loved my Lincolns, took very good care of them, when I sold my Mark VIII, I advertised it myself and two guys were fighting over it ( almost fists!) and bidding the price up, I got $1500 more than I was asking which was above KBB!
My EXT is a marvel, I love this car, but I think Honda should have a "Quiet Package" option that makes it a very quiet ride. Just sayin' ;)

I really miss the 8 way electric and the memory function of the seats.

4- 2000 Acura Integra GSR( only had it for 5 months but car got flooded due to heavy rains, total loss)
5- 2005 Acura RSX type S ( very nice car, wish I haven't traded it in)
6- 2007 Honda Civic Si 4dr ( it's a "ok" car except for paint fade)
7- 2013 Lexus IS350 Fsport( got t-boned by a old man running a red light.. totaled)
8- 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10( good car but cheap interior except for the nice Recaro stock seats)

What about the fact that your Civic exudes and exhibits little to no engine noise at all? I'm coming from a Lexus Sc300 with zero and zilch noise and even that had engine noise during acceleration. Quite frankly, I like some noise (when I don't have the radio on which is rare) that is not obtrusive and the hum of the rubber to the road is one example of tolerable noise. Now if I had an exhaust, that drone or even sharp biting noise during acceleration can be offending to the ear drum.

One of the things I liked most about the Civic was the lack of engine noise. I'm no fan of 4 cylinders. Mainly from the noise the engine makes when being asked to work.

Frankly, I love to ride in an electric car! Kind of like that thrill of being in a hot air balloon; moving with only a hushed sense of air.

An E46... 2005 BMW 330ci

It feels like a big downgrade in the interior and i do miss having a massive inline 6 engine and levitating D2S lights

My Si feels small but a lot zippier than the 330ci so there was a trade off and I'm quite happy when I see my MPG is over 20.3

I liked those creases on the bottom of the doors of the Cutlass Supreme. Fast forward 25 years later and reminds me of the crease on the current Hatches but not as pronounced and higher up. Didn't that Cutlass Supreme make a great used car later in its life?

It was a used "free" hand-me-down for my senior year high school days...as my first car in HS, it was awesome but way too many problems. Sold it for $80 which was to cover the water pump I had replaced and then got into a leased 2002 Golf when I graduated college.
