I'll bet it's going to be real close to $22,200 excluding the $875 destination charge.Anyone know the exact the dealer invoice yet?
Sounds about right... although my OCD nature is demanding to know the exact number.I'll bet it's going to be real close to $22,200 excluding the $875 destination charge.
You must be my brother from another mother....my OCD nature is demanding to know the exact number.
Definitely want it pretty badly but like I said I just am not too familiar with purchasing cars. Paying $27K seems so steep but calculating total on a EX Hatchback and its "only" a difference of $800-$1000. Thanks for the advice on knocking the document fee since that would bring it down to under 26K. I will try to see if I can haggle it down to $26.5 OTD, which I believe zroger is looking to pay, seems to be the sweet spot for most users here as well.I would try to have them take off the "Document Fees" at least. They are already selling at MSRP, so any "fees" would be part of that "MSRP minus Invoice" difference they are already getting.
Not sure "birthday discount" would work. In fact, don't tell them you're in a hurry at all, otherwise you're giving them a good reason to not budge. Instead, tell them you're thinking about coming back in a couple months to see if they would drop $500 off MSRP.
But in the end, it's all about how much you really want it. Just like any other free-market transaction.
That is quite ridiculous. A lot of them will tell you that it's non-negotiable. It is. If they say it isn't then ask them to knock $500 off the vehcile price. Personally, unless you were buying NOW, I wouldn't make them an offer. In a month or two they'll be sitting on lots and your offer will be high.I just contacted one of my local dealers and this is what they quoted me:
$24,775 MSRP + 8.2% Sales Tax + Registration Fees + Document Fees ($500) = $27,388 OTD Price with an ETA of Mid-June.
What do you all think? Even if I wait another few months, I feel like the difference in pricing will not be THAT significant +/- $1000-2000. Honda Rep also told me that no one has dropped the $500 deposit on any of the models that are coming to their lot. My birthday is coming up around that time, you think they would give me a birthday discount ? Turning 29, so I wanted to use the "I want to drive my 20s off into the sunset and begin my 30s with this car!"
I'm not looking to pay that much, but based on what few data points we have to go on right now it looks like $26.5K (+/- depending on taxes) may be at or below what dealers will accept - at least for the first few days. Based on that, I am prepared to pay that much...today, anyway. Tomorrow is a brand new day.I will try to see if I can haggle it down to $26.5 OTD, which I believe zroger is looking to pay, seems to be the sweet spot for most users here as well.
Not holding my breath but the two dealers I have been in touch with in the Seattle area have both told me by end of month (this Wednesday). This was on Tuesday.Seems like West Coast people are getting it sometime June It's taking too long, you've all waited enough!
