I wanted to mention something I noticed a few times now. If I do an aggressive pull out into a lane of traffic (like from a Texas turnaround lane) and the traction control hits and I power through it, I've noticed that it pulls at redline and doesn't do the simulated shifts.

I'm running the ktuner 21 base map with the user adjustable settings set to max. I haven't had a chance to practice it and see exactly under what circumstances it happens or not. But it has happened at least 4 times.

I'm about to ship my ktuner in for service, so I figured y'all can try it yourselves. I won't be able to datalog it. I'm guessing that something with the traction control interrupts the simulated shift program.

What service is required in your Ktuner?
I'm having trouble with the usb side connection. I was able to upload some tunes, but the logs coming off were 15-30kilobytes aka empty. Then live data would stop showing up on the app while the car was running and it would intermittently disconnect from the ktuner software. The USB device doesn't detach from the operating system tho. The OBD side connection is working perfectly. I tried different USB cables to no avail.

That's L mode; This is what you want for max acceleration. The "stepped" gear changes only slow you down.

Hatchback Sport CVT doesn't have L mode....I'll see if I can grab a video of it doing it.

Mind taking a pic of your gear shifter? Wonder why it doesn't...

Sport CVT has paddles, so no need for L mode. You can just put it in S and hit the left paddle and it'll stay in 1st until redline then shift.

I was successful this morning in replicating and recording the event.

What someone needs to test and report back is...

D mode - gas and go.
S mode - gas and go.
S mode (toggle to 1st) - gas and go.

One of those 3 will yield the quickest times.
