missing items in brand new car?

I am a new car owner of a 2017 civic lx sedan. After reading and watching videos I noticed my car never came with the owners manual. It came with the owners guide but not the 600 page booklet I've seen... is that normal or should the lx have came with the big manual. Another thing I think I might be missing is the little tray that sits above the cup holders that slides back and fourth in the center console. Is the LX supposed to come with these two things or not?

None of the US Civics come with paper manuals. You can order one though for free in a short time frame after delivery if I'm not mistaken. Canadians get the manual though.

The LX does not come with coin tray, easter egg console mat, LED lights for the cubby where the power port is, no rear centre arm rest, black trim near the vents, parking brake tab instead of silver, black plastic third spoke on the steering wheel, no function to have the map lights on with the doors, hard plastic front door cards, no rear seatback map pocket and a bunch of other cost cutting things.

Canadian cars also don't get the paper owners manual, just a CD containing it. We do get the smaller owners guide as a physical book.

I have a 800 pages manual + an extra 200 page manual for the navigation

I got a paper owners manual with mine

My '17 came with an owners manual and another smaller guide.

My 2016 EX-T Sedan came with the owners manual also.

Better yet, just drive up there (or, preferably, to another dealership if possible) and look inside any other LX for the sliding coin tray.

I'd wonder what else a dealer is trying to pull if they didn't give you an owner's manual. What is the "owner's guide" you mentioned?

my 2016 didnt come with one but you can request one online from the honda site

mine 2017 LX cvt sedan 4 dr 2.0L it comes with manual(booklet) and CD

Yes a 155 pages owners guide plus CD ( 2016 Civic )

1/3 wallon, 1/3 french, 1/3 german/ dutch

I hope an oversight on Honda's part. I did get a printed manual for my 2016 EX. Meanwhile, you can download from Honda free. I keep mine in iBooks on my iPhone so I always have it. And it's easier to search through than paper.

I would have thought a printed version would be required for drivers.

A free printed manual is available for the LX. All you have to do is ask for it.

If you are the first registered owner of the LX you may request a complimentary printed copy of the Owner's Manual within the first six months of ownership.

Visit owners.honda.com and create or log in to your account.

I received my copy very quickly.
