Anyone knows that red is traditionally for danger or caution, compared to green which is for OK etc. Blood is red, plants sylvan arbors etc. are green. Lights from top down are, red, amber, green.
Red is also the color of heat, energy, excitement, and as Lola says, "sex!"

Green is the color of sheep pastures, salads, Kermit the Frog, food you forgot in the fridge, and all the veggies you didn't eat when you were a kid.

Hi everyone,
I am seeking assistance on which color Honda Civic EX-L to purchase. This is my first car! Please help.
I have badgered my family and friends on their opinion on the colors that are offered and this is what I have so far:

White Orchid Pearl - Personally love this color and I'm looking for a nice sleek car, but from what I've been told, it gets dirty really easily and will fade over time similarly to how a nice white T-shirt fades to a yellowish color.
Aegean Blue Metallic - Blue is my favorite color! I'm not sure if it fits into the sleek/sophisticated look that I'm looking for. My brother actually has a blue 2014 Civic EX and has advised me not to get it because scratches show up on it really easily.
Burgundy Night Pearl - Not really a fan, unless someone can post a picture of one and wows me with it.
Cosmic Blue Metallic - (See comment on Burgundy Night Pearl)
Crystal Black Pearl - Does look sleek, but le parents advise me that it would be more dangerous to drive at night with since it's more difficult to see (??)
Lunar Silver Metallic - Not really a fan, since the front bar blends in with the car.
Modern Steel Metallic - Not sure?
Rallye Red - Would love the car if it was a more dimensional red color (and if I wouldn't be more likely to be pulled over by police for fooling around in it)

Please advise. I am legitimately losing sleep over this.

Thank you in advance <3
So i know this question is a little old but I'd still like to give my two cents. I've had my white EX-T for 9 months now. Sadly, I can vouch for the fading already. The plastics are starting to turn an ugly yellow/white. The front bumper, lower side trims and piece that goes across the back between taillights (piece that has "Civic" on it) are all starting to look like a white tshirt continuously washed in well water. So far, three separate Honda techs at three separate Honda dealers "cannot see" the discoloration which is very disappointing cos I love Honda customer service. Every single other person who I showed it to can see it. I really hope this gets fixed soon because White Orchid is my favorite color on these cars. Second is that dark grey (almost matte) color on the hatches.

Catlia-you're overthinking the consequences of color, but I bought the modern steel, and while I've gotten compliments on the color from others, I find it to be kind of plain and industrial looking. Kind of wish I had gotten the rallye red. But I'm an old guy, so that color might not be appropriate. My family thinks old guys should act like old guys, which is a drag.

I've driven a ton of company cars, and while we get to choose the model, we have no idea why colour we're going to get. And every time, without fail, you really grow to love the colour you end up with. So ya, don't over think it. Just go for it. Whatever you choose, you'll love.

I went with Ralleye Red.

Something about the red on the hatch makes it look even more aggressive lol

You have to go with the color that stood out to you when you first saw the new Civic's for the first time. I could tell you what I like which is red but you might like black cars, or blue cars. No one is gonna convince me to go with a color they like. It's up to you what you like and what you want your car to look like. BUT red is the best choice... just saying lol

So true. When I saw the white one on the lot, my decision was instantly made.

Agreed 100%. Even though I got the Aegean Blue and love it, whenever I see the Hatch in Red, it is clear to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that the car's lines and forms were designed with Red right from the beginning.

Rallye Red was my 1st choice if the dealer has it in manual. I went with my 2nd choice which is the Black Pearl.

The ex-l imo would look best in white because of the black accents on the outside of the car and the black to a lesser degree in the inside,it’s the most popular color for many reasons and always looks good and easy to sell or trade in

Holy necro, Batman. This thread was posted three and a half years ago. Hopefully OP isn't still wrestling with color choice
