What cover?Just received mine, currently ran into a problem. My BC Coils Top Hat Studs are too long and i cant get the bar attached and secured... also cant run my new engine cover with the bar on. Just my luck.
Maybe post up a picture of your situation? I can see if the aftermarket engine cover you have is taller it would definitely be an issue, but I'm unsure as to what the exact problem with the BC coilovers is. If the studs are really long, then they might hit the underside of the bar. In that case, you can alleviate the problem by adding metal washers to the space the bar out a bit.Just received mine, currently ran into a problem. Yeah Im gunna add washers to be able to use the bar the engine cover I have does sit tall so might trim the bolt a little bit to get it right. Also keep in mind you might end up having to cut the tops of the BC coilover studs. I just depends on how far they stick out.Yeah Im gunna add washers to be able to use the bar the engine cover I have does sit tall so might trim the bolt a little bit to get it right. Yeah It was actually how far i was willing to go. Thank you! Also keep in mind you might end up having to cut the tops of the BC coilover studs. I just depends on how far they stick out.
Awesome, great to hear! Thanks for that update.Heres my update, got it installed i used washers to space it up a bit only because my bc coil studs were hitting it. After i finally got it done i was also able to use my cover. Test drove the car here on oahu and the results were killer! Felt the difference and had more control of my car, highly recommend, adding a rear sway bar soon to get even better control. Ill post pics soon
Hmmm, this is the first time I've seen something like that. As far as I know, we haven't had this issue, and we've very thoroughly abused our cars. However, the engine bay on this car does get very hot, so I guess it is possible for something like this to happen. Luckily, if it did happen, the fix is very easy: just wrap that section of the hose in heat reflective tape.Hey procivic, some members are reporting the bar gets so hot it's starting to melt under hood hoses. Have you heard about this?

Mine sits at least 1 inch away from any hoses.Hmmm, this is the first time I've seen something like that. As far as I know, we haven't had this issue, and we've very thoroughly abused our cars. There was a revision to the strut bar that lowered it slightly.Mine sits at least 1 inch away from any hoses.
OH, probably why mine "just" rubs the hood insulation but does not hit the hood, fine with me, polishes out easilyThere was a revision to the strut bar that lowered it slightly.
